Inzoi update expands the Sims rival dramatically, and it's on sale to celebrate

The long-awaited arrival of Inzoi mod support is finally here, as its developer launches the first major update for the hyper-realistic life sim. As one of the leading challengers to The Sims 4's crown, Inzoi's biggest early-access trouble has been a sense that it's currently a bit light on variety and personality. Fortunately, this new update injects a much-needed dose of items and features into its stunning world, taking a big step on the path towards fulfilling its promised potential. Alongside this comes the first Inzoi Steam sale, letting you sneak a discount if you're ready to give it a try.

The Inzoi June update rolls out today, Friday June 13, as patch 0.2.0. The headline feature is the introduction of mod tools, which will give players an official way to create custom outfits and furniture, along with introducing their own custom game rules. This should open the doors to plenty of community-made furniture, clothing, and so on, but there's also a wealth of additions made by Krafton's Inzoi studio joining the life game's lineup today.

In total, the team lists 29 character items (ranging from hair to clothing), and 175 pieces of furniture and other housing objects. The Inzoi build mode has been upgraded with new keyboard shortcuts to quickly access tools, improvements to the roof gizmo, and camera and wall adjustments to minimize your view being obstructed. There's also an auto-save feature while building that will recover your changes if the game shuts down unexpectedly.

A much-anticipated inclusion, Inzoi cheats are finally here in full force. Just like the classic cheats from The Sims, you can use these to give yourself a mound of free currency, instantly fulfill all of your Zoi's needs, or score a promotion and leap up the career ladder. You can also prevent all and any dirt from accumulating in your house and, if you're feeling like a wrathful god, strike your Zoi down with any of the game's numerous illnesses.

Families have been made a lot easier; you're now able to adopt a child or have a baby through medical procedures. Zois are able to give birth without getting married, too. The introduction of teenage romance lets teenager Zois experience those awkward early flirts and dates, while all Zois are now able to give gifts or exchange items with one another.

New settings have expanded the romance options, opening up more diverse relationships with other Zois in the city. Conversations between characters will also change to better reflect their relationship, and there are new interactions for newborns and children. Non-player Zois will now make the first move to show up and meet you, but you can also initiate conversations or events by sending texts via your smartphone.

Working out or overeating now causes your muscle volume or weight to change over time, and increasing your fitness level makes you more resistant to aches and fatigue. The young adult stage of life has been extended, as have the younger age groups, meaning you'll spend proportionally less time as middle-aged. If you begin a new game, you'll notice adjustments to the starting and move-in funds, along with the early furniture you're provided with, which should make the opening hours a little easier.

Prisons have been made more realistic with the removal of vending machines, less comfortable beds, set meal times, and a ban on casual conversations. Rounding out the update are new interactions for many objects, areas, and other Zois, along with fresh animations designed to improve immersion and give Inzoi's inhabitants more personality.
