2. Bog Bodies of Northern Europe
 
Scattered across the peat bogs of Denmark, Ireland, and the UK, the eerily preserved bog bodies tell a chilling story. Many of these Iron Age remains bear signs of violent deaths—slashed throats, broken bones, and strangulation—suggesting they were ritual sacrifices intended to appease capricious deities or spirits of the land.
