Hollow Knight Silksong drops to lowest price yet ahead of free DLC

Team Cherry's long-awaited Hollow Knight: Silksong finally arrived in September 2025, and the wait was certainly worth it. The highly anticipated sequel to Hollow Knight immediately (and unsurprisingly) cemented itself as one of the best Metroidvanias of all time upon release, and has, as of December 2025, sold over seven million copies, not including all of those who downloaded it through Game Pass. If you haven't picked up Silksong yet, we wouldn't blame you for having serious FOMO. The good news is that Humble is offering this hit sequel at its lowest price yet, knocking 20% off its usual RRP - but only for a limited time.

Australian indie studio Team Cherry announced the sequel to its hit Metroidvania, Hollow Knight, back in 2019. Throughout the development process, we heard very little about Hollow Knight: Silksong, causing fans of the series to become almost feral for any morsel of information as the years ticked by. Then, in August 2025, Team Cherry announced the unthinkable: Silksong would drop in just two weeks, on September 4, 2025. What a day that was.

While Silksong's gameplay doesn't deviate hugely from Hollow Knight, there are some welcome refinements and new additions, including craftable tools Hornet can equip, a brutal new Challenge Steel Soul mode to take on after you finish the game, and over 200 unforgiving foes and 40 legendary bosses to throw your keyboard at.

In our Hollow Knight: Silksong review, Nat gave Team Cherry's long-awaited sequel 10/10 and praised the studio for achieving "the impossible."
