Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has a whipping big discount and now it's cheaper than ever
Even though they're not Christmas movies, I find the Indiana Jones films to be so whimsical and full of adventure and mystery that I love watching them at this time of year. That same thrill can be easily found in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, one of the most underappreciated adventure games of the last few years, and you can grab it at a huge discount right now. So whip it up while you can.
As one of the best action-adventure games I've played this year, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is unapologetic in its love and passion for the iconic archaeologist. Equipped with his trusty whip, that memorable hat, and a globe-trotting mystery to uncover, MachineGames' take on such a charismatic personality balances immersion with just the right amount of action.
Here, Indiana Jones is voiced remarkably well by Troy Baker, and the story follows him as he returns to Marshall College after breaking up with his fiancée, Marion. While it seems like a simple professor role, it quickly leads to that familiar Indy-style mystery when a giant steals a valuable treasure and sends him to Vatican City. Before long, you're up against those universally despised fascists, the Nazis, once again. This time, they are led by an enigmatic and despicable man named Emmerich Voss.
The game manages to capture the heart of the movies while also giving you some brilliant gameplay that really makes you feel like Indiana Jones. That useful whip comes in handy plenty of times, from completing puzzles to fighting off Nazis, while you can also sneak around to deal with objectives, or go in with a flurry of attacks if you're feeling confident. Admittedly, the latter isn't recommended, but you do you.

In our Indiana Jones and the Great Circle review, Paul Kelly gave it an impressive 9/10 review, saying that "a marvel for fans of the series and newcomers alike, combining brain-teasing puzzles and scrappy action in the way only Indy can", going even further to say that it's the new gold standard for movie-inspired videogames. It's high praise, but I have to say that I completely agree.
If you're looking to stay in the warmth, but still adventure across the world, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is just $43.39 / £37.19 at Fanatical. That's 38% off the usual price, and the lowest it's ever been - even lower than the biggest Steam discounts. There's no better time to play it, either, as you've got a year's worth of updates - and, of course, The Order of Giants DLC gives you even more to do if you're still craving more after finishing the base game.
Fortunately, you don't need a heavy bag to replace this treasure, running away with it before a boulder crushes you - it's just a simple process of adding it to your cart and buying it. All jokes aside, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is one of my favorite games in recent memory, and you're going to have a blast playing it - I assure you.
