Battlefield 6 devs are "working to address" your biggest pain points, including the Winter Offensive update's mountain of bugs

Battlefield 6 got off to a rip-roaring start, immediately cementing itself as one of the best FPS games of 2025 and marking a return to form for a franchise that has spent too long withering away from the spotlight. However, it hasn't been smooth sailing since launch, and the latest major update to the game, Winter Offensive, introduced numerous problems. Thankfully, developer Battlefield Studios is working to fix these issues and has taken to social media to thank fans for holding it accountable and pushing it to be better.

"I want to make it clear, your experience and your feedback matter," writes Kevin Johnson, Battlefield 6's global community manager, on X. "All of our Battlefield Studios teams are working to address the issues picked up and ensure your experience is the best it can be. Thank you for keeping us focused, fixes are either here - or on the way."

The official Battlefield account on X has also addressed the problems in a lengthy article. It recognizes that Breakthrough, the Firing Range, Portal, and the main menu all needed fixes, and other issues such as micro-stuttering are also being looked into. While some of these pain points have existed over the longer term, a lot of them were introduced or exacerbated by the arrival of the Winter Update.

Several of the items on Battlefield Studios' list "have already been identified, are being addressed, or have been resolved," the article states, and promises that it is "preparing to publish hotfixes," some of which have already been deployed.

The developers have also "heard concerns" about vehicles and Breakthrough. According to the article, Battlefield Studios will address player complaints surrounding player count, pacing, objective placement, sector flow, and vehicle spawn issues in the 64-player mode. "Your feedback continues to guide the direction of our Breakthrough improvements, and we will share more as future adjustments take shape," the post reads.

When it comes to vehicles, the devs have heard feedback about inconsistent damage to vehicles, and an issue with vehicle-mounted machine guns failing to register damage has already been fixed. The developer is also "reviewing targeted changes" when it comes to air-to-air combat.

"More improvements are planned in upcoming updates," Battlefield Studios says. Keep your eyes peeled for more hotfixes and bigger patches in the coming weeks. If nothing else, the devs are communicative and actively working at fixing the game's biggest issues. Our voices are being heard.
