Wow, this $199 Intel Core i5 CPU deal includes a free 240mm AIO cooler and Civ 7

Intel is going all out on bargain CPU deals at the moment, and this latest one not only enables you to grab an Intel Core i5 14600K for just $199.99, but you also get a free MSI AIO cooler and two games as well, including Civilization 7. The free gifts alone would cost you just $184.98, meaning the 14-core Intel CPU effectively costs you just $15. I've seen some genuinely good deals in my time, but this one is outstanding in terms of value.

Unlike the recent Intel Arrow Lake chips, the Core i5 14600K is based on the last-gen Raptor Lake architecture, which is much better for gaming. Given that the Core i5 14600K usually costs more than $200 anyway, and launched at an MSRP of $329, the fact that you can now get it for $199.99, plus a load of free goodies, makes this one of the best gaming CPU deals I've ever seen.

This is a really potent chip as well, with six P-Cores focused on performance, which can run at up to 5.3GHz, and are ideal for gaming. What's more, you also get eight more E-Cores, meaning this chip can also handle multi-threaded workloads such as rendering and video encoding well, giving you 14 cores in total.

There is a word of warning about the Core i5 14600K, though, which is that Intel's Raptor Lake CPUs had a number of stability problems, particularly in games based on the Unreal Engine, last year. Intel put this down to voltage fluctuations and has addressed it with a number of microcode fixes. As such, once you've got the best motherboard to pair with this CPU, you'll also need to make sure you flash the BIOS to the latest version to ensure you have the latest microcode.
