Trader Joe’s Just Secretly Restocked Mini Tote Bags

A Trader Joe’s mini tote bag launch usually comes with much fanfare—including launch date leaks and sneak peeks of each new offering months ahead of their release. This week, however, we can’t say that many people were expecting to see new mini totes back in stock at Trader Joe’s.

What Mini Totes Are Being Restocked?

After Trader Joe’s special Easter and Halloween-themed color drops, you’re probably wondering what the retailer has cooked up for the winter season. Well, it’s been a long time since we’ve seen traditional Trader Joe's colors appear as miniature tote bags—but no logner. Yellow, green, red, and blue-handled mini totes are now available. Each bag features the Trader Joe’s logo embroidered in red. 

These miniature totes are only about 13 inches long—perfect for a solo shopping trip, workplace lunchbox, or replacing your Christmas stockings with—and only $3 each. If you’re attending a White Elephant anytime soon, a set of mini totes makes for an adorable gift; just be aware that they’ll definitely be fought over. 

How to Find a Mini Tote Bag Near You

These mini tote bags are in high demand, so it’s certainly possible that your local Trader Joe’s has already sold out of its stock. The first restock wave affected select stores on Thursday, though it's rumored that more stores will continue to see bags released throughout the weekend of Friday, Dec. 12. Your best bet is to check with your local store, but as of now, totes are still available in select stores.

Past drops have seen the resale prices of mini totes skyrocket, with some limited edition items being listed for hundreds of dollars online. However, this most recent restock doesn't contain any rare colors, which means if you’re still desperate for a yellow, red, green, or blue mini tote, you can often find them being resold online for cheaper than hundreds (we hope).
