A free Arc Raiders cosmetic is up for grabs thanks to Nvidia, but you'll need to be quick as there's a limited supply

Whether it's as a striking fashion statement, or as a uniform to pledge your allegiance to your favorite streamer, Arc Raiders has some pretty flashy cosmetics already. Thankfully, given this isn't a free-to-play game, Embark hasn't been too aggressive with store updates, and there are plenty of outfits and items earnable through gameplay, too. There are some alternative ways to get some free gear, though, and one of them is by redeeming goodies from the Nvidia app. The company's next freebie is a backpack item that'll become available very soon, but you may need to be quick off the mark as they're in limited supply.

The best thing about Arc Raiders is of course the thrill of an action movie-style, last-minute extraction with a bunch of valuable loot in your backpack. The second best thing is making sure you look the part. Ever since its earliest trailers and screenshots, Arc Raiders' style has impressed me - character outfits are vibrant and distinct, while still feeling grounded in a post-disaster world.

The multiplayer game's design director, Virgil Watkins, assured me before launch that Embark would stay true to that aesthetic, and so far, it's kept its promise with the cosmetics it's pushed into the store. There are a few that toe the line, such as the samurai-esque Macrame set and the Leviathan helmet which turns you into an old-school deep sea diver. But on the whole, there's nothing that has really ruffled my feathers.

The new Nvidia freebie continues to leave my metaphorical plumage undisturbed, while offering something that actually feels distinctive. Now, at its core, this is a reskin of an item that already exists - it's called the Emerald Wave variant of the Electrician Backpack.

However, with so many of Arc Raiders' cosmetics revolving around a color palette of blues, greys, reds, oranges, and browns, Nvidia is (naturally) bringing a flash of green to proceedings. There are of course a few green colorways available in Arc Raiders' current wardrobe, but it's quite uncommon. You can see it in the top right corner of the graphic below.

You can claim the free Arc Raiders Emerald Wave Electrician Backpack from Thursday, December 11 at 6am PT / 9am ET / 2pm GMT / 3PM CET. To redeem it, all you need to do is boot up the Nvidia app, click 'redeem' in the nav menu, and follow the instructions to ensure it gets sent to your Embark profile. However, as mentioned, there is only a limited supply of these Emerald Wave backpacks, so they'll be dished out on a first come, first served basis.

So, if you're a true Nvidia-head and the proud owner of one of the best graphics cards in their range, you can show your allegiance while being hunted down by terrifying robots. If you just want as many options as possible to create a killer Arc Raiders outfit, you should probably try and nab this backpack too.
