Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord and its new DLC hit an all-time low price, but not for long

Everyone loves an underdog, and if there's any game that makes you feel like the underdog, it's Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord. Through cuts and gore, you'll go from a boring old mercenary to a strong warrior who must call upon their followers in the face of death, ready to face down countless armies. It's brutal, it's great, and alongside the impressive War Sails DLC, the full experience is now cheaper than ever - but only for a short time.

As one of the best RPGs I've ever played (and to be honest, I've played it too much), Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord is just as much about life in the medieval era as it is the fights. Sure, those real-time battles are a chaotic blend of intensity and fun, but you'll also need to be diplomatic, engaging in politics or trading. It's not all about cutting the throats of your sworn enemies.

You start by creating a character, and from there, everything else slowly clicks into place. As you train, using a sword seems easy, but in reality, the knights on the opposing side aren't as simple as a training dummy, forcing you to weave and block as often as you slash. You can ride on your trusty steed, galloping into the midst of battle, or stick on the outskirts, dealing with those pesky soldiers too shy to get involved.

Between those fights to the death, you could be getting married or shouting at peasants who refuse to join your army. It's an excellent mix of strategy and action, but the whole experience really feels like an adventure only your character is going on. The closest game I could compare it to is Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, but Mount and Blade 2 really benefits from a stronger focus on the role-playing experience, allowing you to embed your character into a larger world, which feels quite different to Kingdom Come's more cinematic approach.

Right now, Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord is a massive 50% off, meaning you can buy it for just $24.99 / £21.49 at Fanatical. However, if you're keen to play the new War Sails expansion, which lets you take to the rough waters and customize your ship, you can also grab it at a discounted price, with the DLC just $22.49 / £18.89 at Fanatical.

However, you might want to hop on your horse and get this deal fast, as both discounts end on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT. We don't know when it will return to this price once the sale is over.
