How to use Blood Purifiers in Dune Awakening

Want to use the Blood Purifier in Dune Awakening? Utilizing a Blood Purifier (or five) is a great way to ensure your base always has a constant supply of water, allowing you to quench your thirst and fill up any leftover containers.

It's essential that you learn about how Dune Awakening water works, after all, you won't be able to survive the unbearable heat of Arrakis without this precious resource. Before you can use a Blood Purifier in the MMO game, you need to complete some prerequisite steps so that your Dune Awakening base can support them.

How to get Blood Purifier in Dune Awakening

If you're following the main story with the research menu locked, then you can get the Blood Purifier in Dune Awakening during the 'Water From Blood' quest. This takes place after you complete the short base building tutorial as part of the 'Shelter and Shields' quest.

Go to your research menu when prompted to research its schematic, then select the Blood Purifier from the 'Refineries' tab in the 'Placeable' section in build mode to place it in your base. It costs 70 Salvaged Metal to build a Blood Purifier, and you can get to build mode by using the construction tool.

Those playing with an unlocked research menu should check their Research and Crafting tab for instructions on how to make a Blood Purifier instead. If you're experiencing some issues, try making a base with a Fuel-Powered Generator first, then try unlocking the Blood Purifier from the research menu once you have enough Intel points.

During 'Water From Blood', after you research the Basic Exsanguination Kit and craft the Blood Extractor and a Small Blood Kit, you have to go and ruin some poor scavenger's day and extract 1000ml of blood from their corpse with the Blood Extractor. To do this, make sure the extractor is equipped on one of your Utility - Hydration Tool slots from the 'Inventory' menu.

Once you get the blood, remember that you need to head back to your base and research the Blood Purifier before you can place it in your base during build mode.

Here's how to use a Blood Purifier in Dune Awakening:

• Select the 'Use' option in front of the Blood Purifier.
• Deposit blood from Blood Sacks.
• Wait for the blood to turn into water.
• Either select the option to drink right from the Blood Purifier, or deposit the water into a container.

If your base has enough power, you can place multiple Blood Purifiers and deposit blood into each one to speed up the water-making process. But remember, if your base has no power, your Blood Purifiers won't work.

Drinking water straight from the purifier will immediately fill some of your hydration bar, but unless you're desperate, it's generally a good idea to use some sort of container, like a literjon, to store your water for later. The last thing you want to do is get caught in the sun without a source of water!
