As you climb through the armor tiers, the rarity of the required ores and the quantity needed increase, too. The potential armor pool each recipe pulls from balloons as well, meaning you'll likely need to run the recipes several times to get the specified piece of armor. The listed recipes just have the highest chance of resulting in said piece, even if there's an almost equal chance of forging different pieces from entirely different sets or tiers.

A prime example of this is the Heavy Leggings recipe. The recipe calls for Cobalt, Diamond, Titanium, and Lapiz Lazuli in varying numbers. The set recipe has a 49% chance of resulting in forging Heavy Leggings, with a 51% chance of crafting other items from the Heavy and Medium tiers.

Simply tweaking the quantity of each ore increases or decreases the chance of forging Heavy Leggings, with the exact quantity listed in our Heavy Leggings recipe having the highest chance of resulting in that particular piece of gear.

As such, there's a chance you'll end up completing a set of Heavy Armor in a slightly different way than what's listed above. For example, you might accidentally craft Heavy Leggings when using the Heavy Helmet recipe. It's just a guideline to keep you mining the ores we know can result in the gear you want.

How do you get Knight, Dark Knight, and Samurai armor in The Forge?

From what we understand so far, there's no specific way to get Samurai, Knight, and Dark Knight armor in The Forge. They're crafted like any other piece of armor in the game. They simply exist within a set tier, with them being rarer forges from the Medium and Heavy armor pools, respectively.

So, if you want Samurai armor, keep following the Medium Armor recipes until you forge one. For the Knight and Dark Knight sets, craft recipes with a higher chance of producing Heavy armor of the slot you're looking for.
