Known for stocking majorly discounted luxury goods, TJ Maxx has a wide selection of products in every department. While you might associate the store with clothes or housewares, don't sleep on their edible products. As someone who loves a variety of foods and drinks, I've found that TJ Maxx is a great spot to pick up new (and budget friendly!) items to try.
Whenever I go to TJ Maxx, I scour the shelves in true treasure-hunt style to find the best food and drink deals. What I've found is that elevating your day with sweet treats and fun little drinks doesn't have to break the bank—and I often find new favorite products I might not have found otherwise.
To inspire your next TJ Maxx trip, these are the items I look for every time I step into the food aisle.
1. Coffee Syrup
The selection of coffee syrups is vast and unique at TJ Maxx. They have huge bottles of Torani syrups at a slightly cheaper price than face value, and often have a much wider selection than you'll find at your usual grocery store. They might not always have the flavor you want, but if you plan ahead, you'll usually find it. Look for pumpkin spice syrup in July or August, rather than waiting until everyone is buying it in September.
2. Gourmet Goods
TJ Maxx is known for selling name brand items at discounted prices, and the food is no exception. As someone who loves fancy food but doesn't have the budget for it, this spot is my go-to. The food aisles have everything from gourmet chocolate and honey, to spiced olives and French spices. When I get the hankering for a fancy charcuterie board night with some friends, TJ Maxx's bizarre selection helps me fill in the gaps.

3. Powdered Drink Additions
If you've seen a health drink trend or two, you know about matcha, mushroom coffee, and ashwagandha. I've gotten all three of those at TJ Maxx, each for less than $10. Sometimes they're in the clearance sections on the ends of aisles, or tucked in with the glassware. TJ Maxx doesn't typically stock a lot of these powdered items, but every once in a while, you can find the perfect addition to your morning drink station. Now, I'm on the look out for beet root powder.
4. Healthy Snacks
Protein bites, health bars, organic chocolate, and whole grain crackers: all things that can be found in the snack aisle at TJ Maxx. My sweet (and salty) treat cravings have been satisfied with a snack found among the disorganized shelves. There are treats you can grab on your way to the gym, bites to eat while sitting on the couch, and goodies to indulge in after a long day.
5. Flavored Chips
Standing in the chip aisle looking for the just-right combination of flavors is an activity I know well. I'm always in the mood for a crunchy snack at the end of the day, but my appetite is unpredictable. Oftentimes, I can find the perfect quirky combo to satisfy my cravings in the overflowing assortment of chips at TJ Maxx. If the right thing isn't in the designated aisle, sometimes there are more options near the register. On top of having all those options, most of the family sized bags are only about $7.
