I haven’t always been the best packer. I used to overpack, then I swung the absolute opposite direction and became an underpacker. I reverted to my overpacking ways yet again to overcompensate, but I recently got it together while packing for a two-week trip to France. With a big international trip like that, there’s no room for error, and I quickly learned that lightweight, versatile clothing is the key to packing travel outfits intentionally.
These travel clothes helped me find the happy medium between underpacking and overpacking, and lasted me one week in Paris and a second in the French Riviera. Everything was comfortable, easy to tuck into my suitcase, and either from Amazon or Lululemon’s “We Made Too Much” section. Prices start at $24.

Libin Joggers Pants
Amazon
These comfortable joggers are a travel staple—especially because they come in 16 colorways, including black (pictured above), olive green, navy blue, and dark gray. I love the tapered bottoms that make these pants feel less like sweats and more like slacks. Pair them with a quick-drying T-shirt and my favorite trench coat, and travel outfits feel more put together (and take up less space in your suitcase, too).
The Drop Noa Trench Coat
Amazon
I knew I wanted to buy a trench coat years ago, so I did a lot of research before deciding which one to buy. I’ve been wearing The Drop Noa Trench for two years now, and while I love it for chilly spring mornings and cozy fall afternoons, it also just so happens to be the best thing I packed for my two weeks abroad. I paired it with everything, whether it was a casual dress or the joggers and Vejas I wore on a two-hour walking tour.
Lululemon Perfectly Oversized Cropped Crew Stripe
lululemon
It was all about the stripes in Paris, but you don’t have to be in the City of Love to appreciate this oversized crewneck. It was one of the most versatile picks in my carry-on, as it was the perfect antidote to the amped-up air conditioning on the plane, and transitioned easily from day to night in Paris, too. It was also great for chillier nights on the Riviera. It’s available in three colorways, including black and white and merlot and white, but the light cafe au lait color wore well in both the city and the countryside.
Petal & Pup Laquin Long Sleeve Maxi Dress
Amazon
The second I laid my eyes on this Petal & Pup maxi on Amazon, I knew I had to have it for my week in the South of France. Because the vibes are much more laidback than Paris city life, I could instantly envision myself wearing it to a winery, or while sitting outside a seaside cafe with a cafe au lait. I love the feminine details of the sleeves and side cut-outs, and it’s a real steal during this limited time deal.
