I didn't expect the next Postal game to be a co-op FPS with a Vampire Survivors twist, but here we are

Crass, corny, and gory, you've got to resonate with a certain kind of humor to really get Postal. While it's switched perspectives for each of its mainline entries, one thing that's never wavered is its vulgarity. In the spinoff department, though, some of the best FPS games on Steam have been born - look no further than the highly rated, Doom-style Postal Brain Damage. Soon, there'll be a new Postal spinoff in town, and while it retains a first-person perspective, it also throws in a big dose of Vampire Survivors chaos. Running With Scissors has just revealed Postal Bullet Paradise, and it's coming next year.

Of all the bullet heaven games to spawn from Vampire Survivors, only a brave few have ever ventured away from its top-down, arena-based roots. Breakout hit Megabonk, for example, goes 3D and third-person. Postal Bullet Paradise dares to bring the hordes, the upgrades, and the auto-shooting to an FPS.

Protagonist Postal Dude finds himself trapped in a world full of "forced positivity, constant surveillance, obnoxiously bright lights, and social credit scores," according to Running With Scissors, which is the last place some one as moody and gross as Postal Dude would want to be. He's tipped over the edge when he's contacted by some rather authoritarian-sounding status quo enforcers, telling him that he's become too negative. Well, that can't stand, so it's time to pick up some guns.

You play as one of 11 Postal Dudes from different timelines, which will make up the class system of the Bullet Paradise. A huge arsenal awaits you, with the ability to run a different weapon in each of Postal Dude's hands. You'll probably recognize a lot of the guns from past Postal games, if you've indulged in the series' lunacy before. As you hit level milestones during runs, you'll get a choice of three abilities, upgrades, or new weapons that you can choose from, adding one to your loadout each time, classic roguelike style. Yes, that includes a "Urinating" ability, because at this point it's Postal tradition to take a leak on, well, everything.

Postal Bullet Paradise will also be a co-op affair, and while you could endure the entire thing solo, it'll let up to three other friends join you to form a small army of Postal Dudes.

Running With Scissors and developer Goonswarm Games reveal that Postal Bullet Paradise will be released in Q3 of 2026. That means, barring any delays, you'll see it hit Steam in either July, August, or September next year.

It'll be very interesting to see not only how the humor lands, but also how those roguelike and bullet heaven mechanics feel in an FPS package. If it all clicks, we could be looking at another highly rated spinoff - Brain Damage currently sits on a 95% positive lifetime user score on Steam.
