If you’re looking for a smart speaker that doesn’t sound like it’s talking from the inside of a can, the Amazon Echo is a solid choice, and it’s on sale.

I have an Echo and an older Echo Dot (I’ve paired them together for multi-room audio), but I can definitely say that the Echo is hands down the better of the two when it comes to sound quality. If you're trying to decide between the two, Mashable also did a side-by-side review that might help.

The Echo (4th gen) works just like other Alexa-enabled devices: You can use it to play music from Amazon Music, Spotify, SiriusXM, and others, set timers, make calls, control smart home devices, and more. It’s also compatible with select Zigbee and Matter devices. If you’d like to use it as a TV speaker, you can connect it with compatible Fire TV devices.
