These AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT Black Friday deals finally make this mid-range GPU a true bargain

Ever since AMD's RX 9000 series of graphics cards launched earlier this year, they've mostly been theoretically fantastic buys, thanks to having decent all-around performance, often including more VRAM than their Nvidia competition, and having competitive suggested prices. However, those prices have largely failed to materialize, with the cards retailing for considerably more. Thankfully, though, several RX 9060 XT Black Friday deals are finally seeing this mid-range option drop below its MSRP, making these cards the bargains they always should have been.

Ever since our RX 9060 XT review, we've crowned it the best budget graphics card, but it has always been a recommendation caveated with the need to check that you're paying the price AMD is suggesting you should, and not the inflated prices we've seen for most of this year. With these discounts right now, though, we can even more strongly recommend this GPU for 1080p and 1440p gaming PC builds.

The first deal we're highlighting is for the 16GB variant you can find on Amazon. It's the Asus Dual Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB model, which features two large fans in an otherwise impressively short, 2.5-slot-wide card design.

Packing all the usual features of an RX 9060 XT 16GB, it houses 32 of AMD's RDNA 4 compute units, for a total of 2,048 stream processors and 64 ROPs. In our review, the very similar-looking ASRock variant of this card delivered 51fps average in Doom: The Dark Ages at 1440p, coming in just behind the 56fps of the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB, a card that's $100 more expensive. Meanwhile, in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, it delivered 113fps at 1080p, compared to 101fps for the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB.

With the need for only one eight-pin PCIe power connector, you won't need an ultra-powerful power supply for this card, and you'll have no worries about its connector bursting into flames like those small 12VHPWR ones used in some high-end cards.

With the RX 9060 XT 16GB's MSRP sitting at $349, this Asus card has normally been priced considerably higher, at $399. However, it's down to $339 this Black Friday. Yes, it's not a huge saving compared to the MSRP, but we really can't overstate how infrequently these cards have been available at that price.

Next up is an 8GB variant of the RX 9060 XT. The XFX Swift AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT OC Gaming Edition with 8GB is an even more affordable option that's ideally suited to gaming at 1080p.

There's been a lot of talk this year about the amount of VRAM in some graphics cards, with Nvidia's RTX 5070 and some RTX 5060 variants coming in for some stick for only having 12GB or less VRAM, a limitation we've found in our tests can completely ruin performance in some gaming scenarios (think ultra detail settings with ray tracing). With some of those cards being otherwise powerful and costing $600+, it's a major drawback.

However, when it comes to GPUs in the sub-$300 range, where running games at ultra settings with ray tracing is simply beyond most cards anyway, an 8GB card like this XFX model is a perfectly acceptable compromise.

Like the Asus card, this XFX model uses two fans, but it's a longer and taller card, which isn't so convenient if you have a small PC case, but should ensure cool and quiet running otherwise. Again, it takes just a single eight-pin power connector and has a simple black design.

The RX 9060 XT 8GB MSRP is $299, and this model has for a while been priced at $279.99. However, it's now $259.99 on Amazon, making it the cheapest RX 9060 XT 8GB we've seen so far this Black Friday season. With prices for RAM already skyrocketing, Nvidia's RTX 5000 Super series facing delays, and prices generally expected to rise next year, this really is a good time to grab a graphics card bargain.
