Black Friday 2025: Live updates from Amazon, Dyson, Best Buy

Once upon a time, Americans lined up in droves outside Walmarts and Targets, still full from Thanksgiving dinner, so they could be first in the door. Thankfully, these frenzied Black Friday free-for-alls are a relic of a bygone era. Now, not only can you order all of the best Black Friday deals online, but for the past few years, retailers have also been launching their Black Friday sales weeks in advance of Thanksgiving.

Case in point: Amazon and Best Buy officially launched their Black Friday sales on Thursday. So, ready or not, Black Friday is already here. You can tell because Mashable is once again working around the clock to bring you live updates on all of the latest sales, standout deals, price drops, and inventory updates. Already, we've spied record discounts on flagship noise-cancelling headphones, Apple laptops and tablets, Dyson appliances, and some of the year's most popular tech gifts.

Remember: Black Friday 2025 takes place on Friday, Nov. 28, and is quickly followed by Cyber Week, which starts on Monday, Dec. 1. However, you can already shop plenty of sales at all the major online retailers. Like Amazon, Best Buy kicked off its Black Friday sale today, and it's aggressively price matching Amazon like it's life depends on it. While Best Buy rarely has a lower price than Amazon, there are plenty of reasons to shop at Best Buy over Amazon.

Most importantly, Best Buy stocks many laptops and TVs that you won't find at Amazon, except from sketchy third-party sellers. Plus, Best Buy has a good membership program that doles out perks and exclusive deals.

With the start of the official Amazon Black Friday sale this morning, you can finally pick up Kindle e-readers on sale. Regular Mashable readers will know that our reviewers and resident book nerds love Kindles, and now the entire lineup is on sale. Some notable Kindle deals include the base Kindle for just $79.99 and the Kindle Colorsoft, which has never dropped below $200 before.

Looking for the best price on AirPods Max headphones? Head to Best Buy, which is currently beating Amazon (and everyone else) on these popular noise cancellers.

We've been waiting for the base model AirPods 4 to drop to $84.99. We didn't expect Walmart to drop them down to a record low price of $79.99, or for other retailers to follow suit. With an economy struggling with tariffs and inflation, this is an absurdly low price for Apple wireless earbuds, and we expect this to be one of the best-selling products of Black Friday. We predict that power stations will make a big impression over Black Friday. We're expecting huge price drops on top brands like Bluetti, Jackery, DJI, and of course, Anker. The second-generation Anker Solix C1000 power station is down to under $350 at Amazon.

Apple deals always make a big impression over Black Friday, but a record-low price on the brand-new AirPods? That's an absolute banger of a deal.

The DJI Mic Mini is one of those products that we keep a particularly close eye on. Mashable readers seems to absolutely love it and it goes on sale a lot. That's a recipe for success, so we make sure we're the first to tell you about any new price drops. And we have some good news: The DJI Mic Mini (2 TX, 1 RX, and Charging Case) is on sale for $78.90 in the Amazon Black Friday sale. That's over $90 off and the lowest price we've ever seen.

Prime members can secure a DJI Mini 4K drone for $239 in Amazon's Black Friday sale. Mashable has reported about the potential for a ban on these drones, so this could be your best chance to grab one before it's too late.

The Lego Harry Potter Mandrake Figure lets you build the famous Mandrake plant, complete with its own pot inspired by the Hogwarts’ Herbology class. The model can be displayed in the pot or lifted out (sans screaming), and includes posable leaves plus a moving chest that animates the mouth and limbs.

In Amazon's Black Friday sale, the Lego Harry Potter Mandrake Figure is on sale for $40.99 at Amazon. That's $29 off the list price for a limited time.

Apple deals have officially dropped at Amazon, but our favorite MacBook Air deal is still tough to beat.

Unfortunately, we do not expect the Nintendo Switch 2 console to go on sale this holiday season. Between tariffs and inflation, the video game industry hasn't had much flexibility when it comes to prices. We'd love to be wrong, of course. So, if you do want to save on the new handheld console, then pick up a Nintendo Switch 2 bundle. As of this writing, bundles are in stock at Walmart and Amazon, but we don't know for how long. This console has a history of selling out before the holidays.

Haven't you heard? Physical media is making a comeback, thanks in no small part to Taylor Swift. So, if you're shopping for a Swiftie this holiday season, we've got a great 2-in-1 gift idea for you. Over at Target, you can pick up a stylish record player and The Life of a Showgirl: Sweat and Vanilla Perfume edition on vinyl. Both are on sale as part of Target's early Black Friday sale.

This year, Sony released the long-awaited sequel to its flagship XM5 headphones, the XM6. And having tested them both for Mashable, here's the honest truth: They're very similar products. Yes, the XM6 makes some iterative improvements and brings back a travel-friendly folding design, but the vast majority of people will be perfectly happy with the XM5 model, which is finally back on sale.

You can get the Sony WH-1000XM5 Noise Cancelling Headphones at Amazon right now for just $248, compared to the $428 price tag of the new model. For my money, that's a very easy decision, folks.

Discounts on the legendary Dyson Supersonic hairdryer used to be a staple of big sales like Prime Day and Black Friday, but they've become rarer and rarer. That's why we're genuinely excited about this one. As part of Dyson's early Black Friday sale, you can grab the Dyson Supersonic plus three hair attachments for just $299.99, savings of $150. You won't find this discount at any retailer.
