Key Takeaways

  • Participating IKEA locations will host Julbord, a traditional Christmas feast, on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025.
  • Attendees will enjoy festive decor, a delicious menu, and an afternoon of holiday delight.
  • Tickets have historically sold out, so prospective attendees are encouraged to grab tickets as soon as possible.

Did you know that IKEA hosts an annual Christmas feast to celebrate the holiday season? Julbord, a traditional Swedish feast, is a delight for IKEA customers every year. This all-you-can-eat buffet comes with a mouthwateringly low price point and is available at participating locations nationwide.

What to Expect (and Eat)

At IKEA's Julbord, you'll be treated to a buffet that’s bursting with holiday cheer. Red tablecloths, classic starry STRÅLA lanterns, and mini holiday trees are sure to adorn the buffet tables. Spot a decoration you love? You’ll have the opportunity to purchase your own from IKEA's holiday collection before you leave.

The retailer's traditional feast offers a variety of Swedish favorites, including the brand’s iconic meatballs (and their vegetarian alternative), salmon, lingonberry jam, herring, and crispbread, among dozens of other traditional Swedish appetizers and entrees. To drink, you can enjoy the brand’s Gløgg, which is nonalcoholic mulled fruit juice. Of course, there will also be a full dessert table.

This year, the event is being held on Friday, Dec. 12. Be sure to check IKEA’s website to see if your local store is hosting a Julbord; only IKEA locations with a full Swedish Restaurant will be hosting.

In order to attend Julbord, you’ll need to snag tickets from IKEA's website. Your local IKEA will have its own webpage with instructions on how to grab tickets to its Julbord feast, as well as information on how many tickets are left.

Some IKEAs may have you visit the store in person to purchase your tickets, so be prepared to make an extra trip.

Tickets cost $20 for adults and $10 for children if you use your IKEA Family membership; otherwise, tickets are $25 and $13, respectively. Joining IKEA Family is totally free—visit the brand’s website and sign up with your email to snag your discounted tickets.

Julbord feasts sell out well before the day of the event, so purchase yours as early as you can to avoid accidentally missing out.
