If you were devastated by the news of Joann's storefronts closing, you're not alone. As of May 31, the destination for all things fabrics, sewing, and knitting ceased to exist for in-person shopping—that is, until now.

Michaels, another craft store and hub for creatives, just announced its acquisition of the Joann brands, and aisles are already being stocked full of items you thought you'd never see in stores again. The Joann Brands Acquisition

Michaels just made every former Joann shopper's dream a reality by acquiring both the intellectual property and private label brands of Joann. So what does this mean for inventory at Michaels?

According to the official press release, shoppers can now score cherished Joann items, in addition to 600 new products added in response to increased craft-related online searches. Expect to see sewing and quilting supplies, fabric, yarn, specialty threads, sewing machines, and much more starting now, with additional products rolling out as the year goes on.

Brands to Look For

Beloved Joann brands will be returning to stores, including Big Twist Value Plus, Big Twist Twinkle, Big Twist Posh, and Big Twist Baby Bear, among others.

In addition, expect to see new offerings from brands like Brother, Loops & Threads, and Oliso added to the mix.
