Black Ops 7 Ashes of the Damned main quest easter egg guide

How do you complete the Ashes of the Damned main quest? Black Ops 7 is finally here. While the co-op campaign provides a fun few hours before unlocking an all-new mode, and MP offers the same rampant chaos as ever, we can't overlook the best part of a new Treyarch game: Zombies easter eggs.

There's only one main Zombies map until Season one hits, but it's a big one, so this might be the biggest Zombies easter egg we've ever seen. It hasn't been unlocked just yet, but here's everything we know about the zombie game mode and its main quest so far, so ready your BO7 Wonder Weapons and prepare for the fight of your life in the Ashes of the Damned main quest.

The Ashes of the Damned main quest goes live on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT. At that time, we'll be playing and writing up this guide to help you work through it as soon as possible.

In the meantime, we already know how the quest starts, and we've been thinking about some of the things you should look out for:

• Starting in Janus Towers Plaza, earn enough Essence to unlock the Security room.
• Inside, melee a manhole cover on the floor and obtain T.E.D.D's head.
• Put the iconic robot's head on your badass truck, Ol' Tessie, to upgrade it for the first time, before driving it to Vandorn Farm.
• At Vandorn Farm, destroy the growths covering the Power Pump and switch on the power.
• From here, get back in Ol' Tessie and drive her to Ashwood.
• Locate Ashwood's Power Pump, and shoot the growths again.

We haven't made it much further just yet, but this is just the start of the first Black Ops 7 Zombies main quest. Keep an eye on the green, glowing plants around the map as well as those locked containers, as we're sure they'll play a part.
