Bringing both sides together, Bonaparte: A Mechanized Revolution is the perfect offering if you've ever wanted to see the 18th-Century revolutionary French general asking questions like, "You would deploy the Colossi?" Bonaparte: A Mechanized Revolution whisks you to Paris in 1789, where you take control of the eponymous figure, but not as we know him. Instead, this alternate-timeline adaptation lets you choose to embody either Céline or César Bonaparte as you choose whether to defend, reform, or outright oppose the monarchy. Succeeding in this turn-based strategy game will require tactical savvy, a mastery of the troops under your command, and of course some giant mechs.

The fusion of traditional period combat and sci-fi brings a unique dynamic to the battlefield as swordsmen, riflemen, cannoneers, and cavalry clash with towering metal soldiers in hex-grid tactical encounters. The Colossi might be powerful, but they're expensive and limited, meaning you can't rely on them alone to win the day.

On a grander scale, your victory won't simply be secured through military might; you'll also need to navigate the political turmoil of this twisted 18th-Century France. Expect to clash with famous faces such as Robespierre and Lafayette, gradually unlocking the tools to make your agenda a reality. Careful use of propaganda and management of potential revolutionaries will often win you as much ground as stomping through the streets with mechanical titans. Though you should probably consider doing that as well.
