When it comes to making Thanksgiving dinner, oven space is at a premium. If you make a traditional menu, you'll need to plan for baking the turkey, dinner rolls, stuffing, and more. This slow cooker green bean casserole recipe helps you remove one recipe from the oven space equation. We've kept the creamy, cheesy sauce, green beans, and crispy topper. All that's missing is stressing over when to put it in the oven.

Keep Screen Awake

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces, or 2 (16-oz.) pkgs. frozen cut green beans, or 5 (14.5-oz.) cans cut green beans, drained

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (6 oz.)

  • 1 (10.75-oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup

  • 1/4 cup milk

  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

  • 6 oz. French fried onions

Directions

  1. In a 6-quart slow cooker stir together the first five ingredients (through Worcestershire sauce).

  2. Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or on high for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Sprinkle with French fried onions before serving. Makes 12 servings (2/3 cup).
