Arc Raiders supply drops explained

What are Arc Raiders supply drops? It's slim pickings up top, that's for sure, and while the discerning Raider will likely know where to look to keep themselves supplied, there are times when an emergency drop is needed. Whether it be ammunition or healing supplies, you can use a very special mechanic to keep you in the fight for longer.

We've all been there: it's one of those runs where there seem to be players everywhere, you didn't spawn in an ideal place on the Arc Raiders map, and you're running dangerously low on, well, everything. Your bags are bursting with loot, and if you happen to run into another raider, you're done for. Unless, that is, you make use of an Arc Raiders supply drop.

Supply drops in Arc Raiders are communication relays dotted across each of the maps that, when activated, call in a supply drop for you and your team. There is a small glowing box at the base of these relays that you can interact with to begin the process.

The supply relay will begin the process by launching a rather large yellow flare into the sky, where it will stay for around a minute before exploding. After this, a canister of urgent supplies will be dropped near your location. These usually include ammunition and healing supplies.

Be aware that, like most things in Arc Raiders, using a supply drop is noisy and will essentially pinpoint your location on the map for others. People may rush you if they're near, in the hopes of snagging those vital supplies for themselves.

Supply drops in Arc Raiders can be the difference between life and death, much like our best Arc Raiders builds. If you have a safe pouch in your augment, make sure you're always taking an Arc Raiders Hatch Key along with you so you can make a quick exit if things get a bit hairy.
