If you want to expand your Steam Deck or ROG Ally storage, and want faster performance than a microSD card, this gaming SSD deal is perfect, with 1TB and 2TB models on offer. The Sabrent Rocket Q4 is a 2230 form factor SSD, meaning it's a lot smaller than traditional SSDs, but its smaller stature makes it perfect for gaming handhelds.

While the Steam Deck is still hands down the best gaming handheld for most, its storage options start from just 64GB and max out at 1TB, which in the modern gaming era is only enough space for a few big triple-A games. This SSD deal makes it much cheaper to upgrade your internal storage to as high as 2TB, and will set up your gaming handheld for the long term.

Sabrent claims its Rocket Q4 2230 NVMe 4.0 SSD has sequential read and write speeds of up to 5,000MB/s, which is a considerable improvement over opting to use microSD cards, which are still very expensive in high capacities and come with much slower speeds. The Steam Deck maxes out at around 3,500MB/s, but Windows handhelds like the ROG Ally will be able to capitalize on the full speeds.

Fitting a new SSD into your ROG Ally or Steam Deck is also very simple, and only requires a few screws to be removed before you can access the installation area. According to the warranties of both the Steam Deck and ROG Ally, adding or changing the SSD does not void your protection, unless you cause damage while performing the swap, in which case, you won't have access to free repair or replacement services.

The 2TB Sabrent Rocket Q4 is currently reduced from $219.99 to just $176.99, a saving of 20% or $43. You can purchase yours using this link, but beware the deal is marked as a limited-time one and could disappear soon. If you're interested in a smaller storage option, the 1TB Sabrent Rocket Q4 is currently reduced from $99.99 to just $84.99, giving you a saving of 15% or $15. You can purchase the 1TB model using this link.
