Diablo 4 Mother's Blessing is back as Blizzard delivers free anniversary rewards

A new Diablo 4 Mother's Blessing event has just begun as Blizzard celebrates the two-year anniversary of its demonic ARPG with a handful of free cosmetics – but you'll need to log in soon to claim them. It almost feels like it's been here longer, but Diablo 4's second birthday arrives on Thursday June 5, and the World of Warcraft and Overwatch 2 developer has an early gift for all players. Starting right now, you'll get a massive boost to your gold and experience for the next two weeks, and there is a selection of limited-time Diablo 4 skins up for grabs, so don't miss out.

Between our glowing Diablo 4 review and an enthusiastic follow-up for Vessel of Hatred, Lauren has plenty of praise for the long-awaited return of Blizzard's genre-defining action RPGs, and I'll echo that sentiment. While seasons have been hit or miss, and I'm hoping Blizzard continues to expand on its mechanical depth with the next expansion, the core combat of Diablo 4 still feels more fundamentally satisfying than any of its peers. As it turns two, the developer has dropped a celebratory anniversary event that runs until Tuesday June 17.

Diablo 4 Mother's Blessing is live until Tuesday June 17 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST / 7pm EST, giving you a multiplicative 35% experience and 50% gold boost. You'll also earn an additional Gift of the Tree cache with each turn-in of Grim Favors at the Tree of Whispers. Remember that you can also do this via the Ravens that have been introduced to every city.

It's an ideal time to level another of the Diablo 4 classes, or perhaps jump into Season 8 for the first time and tackle Belial, Lord of Lies, if other big releases such as Path of Exile 2 Dawn of the Hunt or Clair Obscur Expedition 33 have kept you busy in recent weeks. Alongside this comes the Diablo 4 Anniversary Event Reliquary. This is available to all players for free, and contains a total of seven rewards; four weapon skins, a lantern mount, a banner mount, and The Burning Dawn mount armor.

You will have to buy these cosmetics for in-game gold, as seen in the screenshot below, but don't worry, as they're cheap enough that you'll almost certainly have enough even if you've only played a tiny amount of Diablo 4. In total, you'll need 140,000 gold to buy all six items, which then unlocks the mount armor as a final reward. The reliquary is only available through Tuesday June 17, however, so be sure to grab them while they're still around.

The Diablo 4 anniversary celebrations are live now and run until Tuesday June 17 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST / 7pm EST. With the Diablo 4 Season 9 release date scheduled for the start of July, this is your best chance to investigate Belial's return and grab any rewards that take your fancy.
