Drive by a particularly beautiful home anywhere near Waco, TX, and there’s a good chance that it was remodeled by Chip and Joanna Gaines. The duo has been, well, fixing up houses around the area for Fixer Upper since the early 2000s. But they’ve never remodeled a house outside of the Lone Star state before—until now.

The couple’s brand new TV show, Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House, will debut on December 9 on Magnolia Network and HGTV. This time, the Gaines family is focusing on the total transformation of a 1960s Colorado mountain home. If you loved watching America’s favorite sweethearts demo the Lake House in 2024, this is going to be your new favorite show.

All About the Gaines' New Project

“Colorado has come to be a special place for our family,” Joanna Gaines said in a press release. “And somewhere in between ski trips and spring breaks over the last decade, a dream took root to one day carve out a place of our own. While taking Fixer Upper out of state meant we were in for a steep learning curve, our hope is that this home would far outlast us, and we can’t wait to share it with you.”

Nestled deep in the Colorado mountains, the gorgeous ‘60s home offers a cozy retreat—just one that’s a little outdated when the Gaines first acquire the property. Over the course of the show, the Gaineses will have to tackle new bedroom additions, challenging demos, and even a little guest cottage on the property. The show promises plenty of renovation obstacles, design inspiration, and…bears? It isn’t the Colorado mountains without a few visits from local wildlife, after all.

The brand new, updated style of the home will be a gorgeous combination of mid-century modern and European-style details, perfect for the woodsy backdrop. The Gaineses had a vision of making a timeless property that can be used for generations to come. Did they nail it? Well, it’s Chip and Jo we’re talking about here, so probably! But you’ll just have to watch the show for yourself to find out.
