The Outer Worlds 2 Otto puzzle solution
The Outer Worlds 2 Otto puzzle solution
How do you solve the Otto puzzle in The Outer Worlds 2? If you've come across a hefty switchboard panel while weaving your way through the backstreets of Free Market Station, you're undoubtedly wondering what in Eden you're supposed to do to open up the door into Otto's vault. You've likely tried flicking all of the switches on at random, but, alas, to no avail.
In The Outer Worlds 2 you'll come across all sorts of environmental puzzles. Obsidian's squirreled away some pretty sneaky surprises into The Outer Worlds 2 map, and in this case you'll typically have to unlock the N-Ray Scanner first. Of course, that requires actually interacting with game mechanics, and who's got time for that? Below, you'll find the solution to this brain-teaser in the space game, as well as everything you can find within Otto's vault.

To complete The Outer Worlds 2 Otto puzzle, you'll need to activate three different sets of switches in the correct order, lifting each of the vault door locks they're tied to.
You can either check out the video above and follow along, or consult the following instructions, with the switches read from left to right:
- Lock one: Top row third switch, top row second switch, middle row second switch, bottom row first switch.
- Lock two: Middle row fourth switch, middle row third switch, top row first switch.
- Lock three: Bottom row fourth switch, bottom row third switch, bottom row second switch, middle row first switch.

The Outer Worlds 2 Otto puzzle rewards
Now the door is open, delve inside and claim the following spoils:
- 1x Advanced Decryption Key
- 439x Bit Cartridge
- 1x Music Box
- 1x Triple Barrel Shotgun
- 1x Dehydrated Water
While the rewards for your graft aren't the most inspiring, Advanced Decryption Keys are crucial to unlocking more caches from the revolving lockbox machine on the Incognito.
