How do you repair vehicles in BF6? A day's work is never done if you're playing Engineer; not only do you have to dominate close-quarters fights and deal with any enemy armor that decides to appear, you also have the job of keeping your team's tanks happy and healthy. As both a protector and a formidable offensive option, it's important to know how the Engineer class functions, and that involves knowing how to repair vehicles.

We're way past the Battlefield 6 launch now, and players are settling into their respective roles. One of the most important roles to any team, especially on BF6 maps with vehicles, is the Engineer. Aside from assuring a win, certain challenges also require you to equip your repair tool and get to work, so here's how to repair vehicles in BF6.

To repair vehicles in Battlefield 6, you need to spawn as the Engineer BF6 class and use your Repair Tool on any damaged armor in your vicinity. Approach the damaged vehicle in question and hold down the fire button with the Repair Tool equipped, and you'll begin to restore its health.

The Repair Tool has a heat gauge that rises the longer you repair, with a change of canister and some downtime required if you push it too far. You'll soon learn that little and often is best while repairing, as overheating can give the enemy a chance to destroy your tank while you're waiting for your tool to come back online.

The Engineer also has an ability called Power Repair that, when activated, gives your Repair tool a huge boost, allowing you to repair vehicles much faster than before. This is only active for a short period, so only use it when things are looking bleak.

Some players have reported that their efforts are going unnoticed and that even after repairing several vehicles, they noticed little to no change in their repair challenge progress. While we haven't encountered that bug, it can be slow going when restoring health to vehicles, so our tip would be to join a game of Conquest or Escalation and stick to a friendly tank like glue, hoping they get into a few scrapes.
