How to float in Blue Protocol Star Resonance

How do you float in Blue Protocol Star Resonance? If this essential traversal ability is causing you a bit of headache, read on. The game's many chat channels are rife with other adventurers struggling to master the ability to ride the many air tunnels scattered around Magna. Thankfully, the solution is relatively simple. Using the Blue Protocol float ability could be as easy as opening a single menu.

Generally unlocked as part of a quest relatively early into Blue Protocol, skipping over a single line of dialogue can lead to some serious confusion regarding the float ability. Just getting started? You might have a while to wait before you can float. Check out our Blue Protocol tier list to pick the best class for you and your team, or the latest Blue Protocol codes for some easy Orbs.

The Float ability is unlocked at around level 17 as part of the Terra Resonance quest. Follow the questline and interact with the large Hero's Herb flower in the Ancient City of Vil area to unlock Float.

Though Float can be unlocked this way at the correct level without following the quest, it's best to follow the Terra Resonance questline to unlock it. Not only will it walk you through the Float process, but it also directs you to a few different air currents to practice your new ability, eventually unlocking another Resonance skill you'll need later on.

You use Float by jumping into an air current and clicking the button prompt that appears while airborne. If you don't see the Float button, go to the skill tab and you should see the Float skill on the Resonance menu via the third icon once unlocked. Drag it to your action bar and press its corresponding key while in mid-air in an air current to activate it.

What is Float in Blue Protocol?

Float is a traversal ability in Blue Protocol. It unlocks the ability to fly after riding an air current. You'll use one of these as part of the early game tutorial to investigate a cave with Airona and her friend.

Float uses stamina, which slowly depletes over time. But with stamina being an infinite resource in safe havens like towns and cities, you're free to fly for as long as you like around these areas.

If floating in Blue Protocol has unearthed a character angle you're not particularly proud of, it might be time to learn how to change appearance in Blue Protocol.
