All 2XKO Ranks - how to access ranked mode

What are the 2XKO ranks? After spending all that time completing the game's tutorials and combo trials, after agonizing for hours in the lab to nail your bread-and-butter combos, it's finally time to take on the world. 2XKO's ranked mode isn't available for everyone at first, forcing newcomers to prove themselves before attempting to climb the ranked ladder.

As you earn more Ranked Points (RP) in the fighting game, you'll rise through the ranks, challenging progressively stronger opponents before you reach tournament-level players. Going through the 2XKO ranks will be a tough experience for most players, but you can improve your odds using our 2XKO tier list to see which champions are crushing the competition.

2XKO ranked mode explained

To unlock 2XKO's ranked mode, you first need to reach account level three. This can be achieved just by playing the game - as long as you're unlocking challenges through things like combo trials or casual play, any experience earned will count towards your account level.

If you've reached account level three and you don't see the ranked mode option, that may be because it wasn't officially available until Thursday, October 9, 2025. This mode was previously available during the closed beta period; however, it's important to note that any progress or rank you achieved during this period has been completely wiped.

Unlike casual matches, ranked battles will only last for a maximum of a best-of-three match. You aren't forced to give your opponent a rematch, though there's a good chance they will be frustrated if you one-and-done them. If you do decide to play a best-of-three, you can change your champions before heading into the next fight, giving you a chance to balance the odds by counterpicking with a new duo.

There are 11 2XKO ranks, with most ranks broken up into three separate tiers:

  • Aspirant (I, II, III)
  • Bronze (I, II, III)
  • Iron (I, II, III)
  • Silver (I, II, III)
  • Gold (I, II, III)
  • Platinum (I, II, III)
  • Emerald (I, II, III)
  • Diamond (I, II, III)
  • Master (I, II, III)
  • Grandmaster
  • Challenger

When you first start off, you'll have to go through placement matches to determine where you're best suited on the ranked ladder. You only have to play five matches before you're given a rank, where you'll be moved to a different lobby to ensure you're fighting against people around your skill level.

To climb the ranks, you have to earn 100 RP, which you can do by winning ranked games. You'll start at 0 RP from whatever rank and tier you're placed in and climb from there. You can't be demoted from your rank, but your tier can be demoted if you lose enough RP. If you start to lose consecutive games and begin to approach the dreaded 0 RP zone, you'll be given one last chance to prove yourself worthy of your rank. Once you lose a match at 0 RP, you'll be demoted to the lower tier.

Ranks are given out per season, so where you end up on the ranked ladder in Season 0 won't necessarily follow you into the following seasons.

Are there ranked rewards?

According to the 2XKO support page, yes, there are exclusive ranked rewards. With that said, it's unclear what they are at this time, but we'll be sure to update this page once we have the information.

That's all you need to know about the 2XKO ranked system. While you're here, you may want to read about all the 2XKO characters, including some leaked champions who could be coming to the multiplayer game at some point in the future.
