2XKO Champion Tokens - how to unlock more fighters

What are 2XKO Champion Tokens? 2XKO follows in the footsteps of its older siblings with a free-to-play model similar to the ones seen in League of Legends and Valorant, giving dedicated players a chance to earn their way to unlocking all the champions on the roster.

To unlock all the 2XKO characters, you're going to need to acquire 2XKO Champion Tokens, a special currency that gives you access to one of the champions. These tokens can be purchased with real money, or if you're willing to put the time in, you can unlock them through the in-game store using Credits. You don't need to spend anything to try out the fighting game characters as all of them are available to play in the training and local multiplayer modes.

How to unlock 2XKO characters

Here are all the ways you can unlock 2XKO characters:

• Spend 1 Champion Token
• Spend 1,000 KO Points
• Spend 10,000 Credits
• Recruitment Event (Battle Pass)

Champion Tokens

Your first two Champion Tokens can be earned by completing the First Steps missions and the First Fight tutorial, allowing you to build the exact team you're after.

If you want more Champion Tokens, you're going to have to cough up some money for the starter packs, with the Standard Starter Edition featuring four Champion Tokens and the Deluxe Edition featuring eight Champion Tokens. These bundles will set you back $30 / £25.49 and $60 / £50.99, respectively.

KO Points

Speaking of spending money, KO Points are the currency of 2XKO, which can only be obtained by parting with your cash.

Champions can be purchased for 1,000 KO Points, and that will cost you $9.99 / £8.50. Buying larger bundles of KO Points gives you a set number of bonus KO Points, slowly increasing in size as you ramp up to the highest tier. This currency can also be used to purchase legendary skins, costume colors, and the battle pass; more on that later.

Credits

Credits can be earned in 2XKO by completing challenges, including combo trials for each of the characters, as well as the tutorials. There are also daily and weekly challenges where you'll need to play a certain amount of matches each day or use specific mechanics like supers or assists throughout the course of a week.

Completing every challenge each week nets you 2,750 Credits, and if you do that for a month, you'll earn 11,000 Credits, which gives you enough to purchase a new champion every season. Once you reach 12,000 Credits, you won't be able to earn any more until you spend what you have, so you won't be able to hoard your Credits if you happen to have every champion.

Recruitment Event

By purchasing a Battle Pass, you can unlock champions using your Battle Pass XP, though this isn't available in Season 0. The standard Battle Pass costs 1,000 KO Points, the Deluxe version (2,000 KO Points) unlocks 10 Battle Pass levels automatically, and the Ultra version (3,500 KO Points) also includes the Arcane Chroma skin for Warwick.

The Recruitment Event is a set period of time, usually three weeks, where you'll have to earn Battle Pass XP to unlock the character introduced with the latest season. Unlike Credits which give you a fixed amount per week, if you play enough during a Recruitment Event, you should be able to unlock the champion within the first week.
