Best October Prime Day Amazon Echo deals: Echo Buds with ANC, Echo Hub

We're on the brink of another Amazon Prime Day, y'all. Well, technically it's called Prime Big Deal Days, but the names are practically interchangeable at this point. While the shopping event officially kicks off Oct. 7, tons of items are already getting the deal treatment.

Amazon's own devices typically see some of the biggest discounts during Prime events, including Echo speakers, displays, and other smart gadgets, so we've been keeping our eyes peeled in the days leading up to the event. While a few Echo devices are already hanging out at their best prices ever, like the Echo Buds with ANC and the Echo Hub, we're still waiting on others to drop down to previous lows. For example, the Echo Dot is on sale for $34.99 (reg. $49.99), but we've seen it drop to as low as $22.99 in the past. We'll be watching to see if that record-low deal resurfaces.

Amazon also just unveiled four new Echo devices at the end of September. Could the new Echo Show 8, Echo Show 11, Echo Dot Max, and Echo Studio get their first price drops during the October Prime event?

Why we like it

The Amazon Echo Buds with ANC are now quite a few years old, so we wouldn't enthusiastically recommend you run out and buy them at full price. However, ahead of the Prime Big Deal Days event, they're down to just $34.99 — a massive 71% or $85 drop from their $120 list price — which makes a world of a difference. This is only the second time we've seen the buds at this record-low. Sure, they won't compete with the AirPods Pro or other luxury earbuds, but they're still solid noise-cancellers with a comfortable fit, decent sound quality, and acceptable battery power. As Mashable's Alex Perry wrote in his review, "Considering how much cheaper these are than other big-name ANC-enabled earbuds, it's pretty incredible that the ANC works as well as it does." And at only $34.99, they're cheaper than any of the earbuds on our list of the best budget picks.
