Digimon Story Time Stranger evolution lines and how to digivolve fast

What are all the Digimon Story Time Stranger digivolutions? Baby Digimon sure are adorable, but they're no match for the Titans. Like most monsters that feature in creature collectors, they hold a secret power: digivolution. With enough battle experience, that squishy pink football can evolve into a cyborg dinosaur with wings and rocket launchers, and we can show you how.

Digivolution is the fastest way to make your 'mons the digital champions they were born to be. However, it's also very easy to stray down the wrong evolution path and end up with sentient goo or mutant poop as a partner. Our complete list of all digivolutions in Digimon Story Time Stranger includes a step-by-step walkthrough on how to digivolve, essential tips on how to evolve fast, and the benefits of de-digivolution.

There are eight digivolution stages in Digimon Story Time Stranger: In-Training I, In-Training II, Rookie, Champion, Ultimate, Mega, Mega+, and Armor. The specific Digimon that appear on these evolution branches are hidden when you first start the turn-based RPG, but our complete list ensures that you'll always evolve into your favorite choice.

Here are all the Digimon Story Time Strangers digivolutions we've discovered so far:

To digivolve your Digimon, simply open your Digivice and navigate to 'Digivolution' from the 'Digimon' menu to open an overview of all Digimon in your party and box.

Digimon who are ready to digivolve are highlighted with a green checkmark. Select the Digimon you'd like to evolve, then choose any portrait highlighted with a green checkmark on the right-hand side of the digivolution tree.

You will receive a notification on the Digiline whenever one of the Digimon in your party or box is eligible for digivolution. Keep in mind that the 'Digivolution' menu overview does not include the Digimon that you've sent to the DigiFarm, so don't forget to check up on them the next time you visit the In-Between Theater.

Digivolution is an integral part of Digimon Story Time Stranger's turn-based combat, and evolving your 'mons quickly can give you a clear edge in battle. If you find you're snatching victory from the jaws of defeat, your Digimon are likely a stage or two below the enemies you're fighting.

The DigiFarm is the secret weapon to meeting the stat requirements for early digivolution. All Digimon on the farm receive the same experience as Digimon in the box, but you can also use various training sets to boost their stats even further. Speak to Mirei Mikagura in the In-Between Theater to access the DigiFarm.

Most enhancement items typically provide a temporary boost in battle, but augment chips offer a permanent increase to your Digimon's cumulative stat. These augment chips can be acquired as battle rewards or by attacking destructible objects in the environment. Many of the most powerful digivolutions require a high value in one particular stat, and augment chips are by far the fastest and easiest way to meet that threshold.

Digimon that sit unused in your box for an extended period of time can be repurposed to empower your main team, albeit at the expense of the Digimon itself. Navigate to 'Load Enhancements' via the 'Digimon' menu and select the Digimon that you'd like to enhance, and then the Digimon you want to convert into experience. A portion of their talent and cumulative stats are also inherited. Remember that loading enhancements is permanent - you won't be able to get the Digimon back later.

To de-digivolve, select any Digimon from the 'Digivolution' menu and navigate to any of the Digimon highlighted with a green checkmark on the left-hand side of the digivolution tree.

Our list of digivolutions should help minimize the likelihood that your Digimon will evolve into a form that you dislike. However, de-digivolution also has its benefits outside of personal preference.

For example, you might want to de-digivolve to unlock a different branch of an In-Training Digimon's digivolution tree. Keep in mind that you must have encountered the Digimon you plan to de-digivolve into at least once, and your current Digimon's personality must match its base personality.

De-digivolution also resets your Digimon back to level one, but bear in mind that this does not effect its talent, bond, or cumulative stat values. This means that you can actually make your Digimon even more powerful in the long term through multiple instances of evolution and devolution.

Now that you're a digivolution master in Digimon Story Time Stranger, check out our list of games like Pokemon for more monster-taming madness.
