All Hades 2 bosses

What are the Hades 2 bosses? Melinoe has quite the task ahead of her. Insurmountable to most, she must delve deeper than anyone dares, and climb higher than people thought possible to help her godlike family and put Chronos in the ground. There's a war going on, you know; aboveground, armies clash in an endless struggle for supremacy, and below, a solitary warrior cuts swathes to reach the heart of the matter. We have updated our list to include all bosses in the game at the 1.0 launch.

The Hades 2 release date is upon us, which is excellent news for roguelike game fans everywhere. Check out our Hades 2 weapons guide, and our Hades 2 Boons guide to get as powerful as possible, as quickly as possible. As you begin your journey, you have a lot on your plate, so prepare yourself with our list of all the Hades 2 bosses and a brief description of what they're about.

Hades 2 bosses - Tartarus route

Hades 2 bosses: a humanoid witch, wearing a large hat and clawed gloves.

Headmistress Hecate

Your mentor and defacto parental figure, Hecate demands you meet her standards before she will allow you to delve deeper into your search for Chronos. This is, of course, by besting her in battle. We have a Hades 2 Hecate boss guide if you're struggling with the Witch of the Crossroads.

Hades 2 bosses: a large sea monster, holding a microphone.

Scylla and the Sirens

Things start to get a little damp in Oceanus, and you'll begin to hear sweet melodies the deeper you plunge. This music is courtesy of Scylla and the Sirens, a musical trio of sea monsters that make a living by entertaining their audience and devouring anyone that gets too close. Take a look at our Hades 2 Scylla and the Sirens boss guide to find out how to beat the three musicians.

Infernal Cerberus

Everyone's favorite three-headed dog is back, but he's a lot bigger and a lot angrier than the last time we met. Melinoe suspects this is Chronos' doing, and we would be inclined to agree. Infernal Cerberus is exceptionally dangerous and can cover a lot of ground, both with his huge blast attacks and his dashes. Beat the pup to have him revert to his original, adorable self.

Hades 2 bosses: a sleek, evil-looking man with black wings, holding a golden staff.

Chronos, Titan of Time

The god of time itself, Chronos, is the orchestrator of this whole kerfuffle and the reason Melinoë is a stranger from her family. The Chronos boss fight comes in two phases: the first is a relatively straightforward affair, with dash attacks and minions to kill, but the second is tough, with instakill attacks keeping you on your toes. We've got a comprehensive Hades 2 Chronos boss fight guide if you're struggling.

Hades 2 bosses - Olympus route

Hades 2 bosses: a huge cyclops, picking his teeth clean.

The Cyclops Polyphemus

Polyphemus is a grumpy, one-eyed brute who takes umbrage with you stepping on his patch. He plans on eating you alive and is strong enough that he might be able to pull it off. Polyphemus moves slowly, making him a perfect target for ranged weapons - he can be devastating up close, however, so stay mobile if you're opting for a melee build. Oh, and make sure he doesn't eat sheep as he'll recover health.

Hades 2 bosses: a female with short hair, holding a huge futuristic weapon.

Eris, Strife Incarnate

Eris is the god of strife and discord. Irritating to talk to in person, and a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. Eris utilizes the Adamant Rail, which anyone familiar with the original Hades should know already, and will periodically fire a special shot onto herself, increasing her damage.

The Prometheus boss speaking to Melinoe in Hades 2.

Prometheus, Titan of Foresight

The first boss added since the start of early access that you'll face is Prometheus. You'll want to focus on dealing as much damage as possible against him, worrying less about damage taken than you normally would. The only move you really need to worry about is when he jumps off the stage and areas of the map turn red. You need to dodge fiery attacks by getting into the non-red areas in the correct order.

The Typhon final boss in Hades 2.

Typhon, Father of all Monsters

The final overworld boss and final story boss of Hades 2 is Typhon, and the fight is a little different. First of all, he's not on the stage with you; instead, he's floating next to it and attacking the stage you're on. You need to dodge attacks and attack when you get a chance. Zeus will help you take him down, so be patient and stay on the move.

Hades 2 minibosses

Several minibosses guard powerful boons or rare items in each of the two routes. If the door to the next area has a skull on it, you're about to come face-to-face with a powered-up version of a regular enemy. Most of the time, these minibosses require you to stay on your toes to dodge one of two attacks, though Charybdis has proven to be the exception as they're unique in design and far trickier to fight. Here are all the Hades 2 minibosses:

Tartarus route

  • Erebus - Root-Stalker or Shadow-Spiller.
  • Oceanus - Deep Serpent, Hellfish, or King Vermin.
  • Mourning Fields - Phantom or Queen Lamia.
  • Tartarus - Goldwraith, The Verminancer, or Doomstone.

Olympus route

  • City of Ephyra - Satyr Champion or Erymanthian Boar
  • Rift of Thessaly - Charybdis or The Yargonaut.
  • The Summit - Eye of Typhon, Spawn of Typhon, Tail of Typhon, or Twins of Typhon.
  • Mount Olympus - Talos

Hades 2 bosses: a birds eye view of a gigantic sea monster.

Charybdis the Devouring

We're devoting a section to Charybdis as they're more boss-like than its miniboss status would have you believe. They're a monstrously large sea creature, not unlike the Kraken, who you might encounter partway through the Rift of Thessaly. Charybdis' main body is too far away to hit - or hit you - so instead, it uses its many tentacles to try to take you down. These tentacles can be destroyed, so work on them one by one until Charybdis is no more.

Those are all the bosses you will face in Hades 2. If you're struggling with any of the above, we have a guide on Hades 2 keepsakes, which should help you turn the tide of any fight. We also have a list of all the Hades 2 gods if you want to read up on the company you'll be keeping.
