Best Silent Hill f Omamori and all locations
What are the best Silent Hill f Omamori? Silent Hill f remains a Silent Hill game at its core, but its new setting also introduces some brand-new mechanics. Traditionally, Omamori are Japanese amulets offered at shrines to bring luck, as that's exactly what they do in Silent Hill f, narratively speaking, allowing you to more easily defeat enemies or heal up faster.
By equipping one of a range of Silent Hill f Omamori, you can buff Hinako's survivability and stats in the horror game, making combat a little easier. You have three base stats in Silent Hill f: health, stamina, and sanity; while an additional focus ability lets you deal more damage. These are primarily the areas affected by Omamori, so you can tweak your build of the best Omamori to suit your playstyle and those stats you find most important, and you can use Silent Hill f Ema to unlock additional Omamori slots.
The best Omamari to equip in Silent Hill f are:
- Whale
- Bull
- Sakura
- Pine
Whale
Fortunately, the Whale is one of the first Omamori's you come across in Ebisugaoka, and is one of the best to equip early on in the game since it grants the ability to heal without being interrupted by normal attacks. The further you progress and the more you become used to the game's combat, the less useful you may find it, but it has massive value in the first few hours.
Bull
In contrast, the Bull is one you won't want until a little later, but since you don't find it until the Worship Hall Dark Shrine puzzle, you may want to equip it as soon as you get it. This Omamori reduces the stamina consumed by heavy attacks, and, since these deal significantly more damage, you want to be able to land as many as possible before recharging.
Sakura
Obtaining the Sakura Omamori sadly relies on luck, as it can only be obtained from a Hokora. If you get it, though, and have multiple Omamori slots unlocked, equip it. It enhances the effects of both health items and other Omamoris, making it undoubtedly one of the best buffs to have.
Pine
When you're ready to swap out the Whale, it's definitely worth considering the Pine Omamori, as it increases your max health. With so many combat encounters in Silent Hill f, get every bit of max health you can.

How to unlock more Omamori slots
You can unlock up to two additional Omamori slots using an Ema and between 1,500 and 3,000 Faith. Use an Ema and your Faith at a Hokora to unlock a new Omamori slot.
Since Omamori are incredibly useful, unlocking new slots is expensive and Ema are not easy to find. That said, once you have a few decent Omamori, we recommend spending your Faith on unlocking a new slot over rolling new Omamori. It's also worth balancing this decision with using Ema to increase your health.
How to equip Omamori
To equip or change your Omamori, open the pause menu and head to the 'Equipment' section. You don't need to be at a Hokora to change your Omamori, so you can do so at any time - or during any fight.
Sadly, Silent Hill f Omamori only really help in combat and can't help you solve puzzles.
