Starbucks has an unexpected surprise in store this fall season: the return of a beloved drink that fans have been begging for. You read that right: the Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso is finally coming back on Oct. 14.
Apple Crisp Items
Apple Crisp has been a fall staple at Starbucks since 2021, so fans were heartbroken when Starbucks’ usual lineup of apple-flavored drinks didn’t return to menus when the fall drinks launched back in August. Little did we know that, much like the return of raspberry syrup in the summer, Starbucks was gearing up for a second fall launch.
Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso
The Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso features Starbucks' signature blonde espresso mixed with Apple Crisp syrup and topped with oat milk for a delicious dairy-free drink.
Those who have tried the shaken espresso say that while it is apple-forward, it also has other flavors that make it taste more like a well-balanced apple pie than a fruity coffee. Brown butter, cinnamon, caramel, and brown sugar are some of the flavors that customers are picking up from the returning drinks.
Cold Foam Options
Apple Crisp is also returning as a cold foam that can be added to any drink. There will even be an Apple Crisp Protein Cold Foam option, too.

What Other Drinks Can You Order with the Apple Crisp Flavor?
The Apple Crisp Macchiato will not be returning to menus this year, but if you’re craving it, you can still order a macchiato with apple crisp flavoring instead. The same thing goes for the popular Apple Crisp Chai variation. One Starbucks barista confirmed on Instagram that as long as the store has Apple Crisp syrup in stock, they should be able to make a version of these former menu items.
Besides ordering your own Apple Chai-der-inspired drink with the new Apple Crisp Cold Foam, we also think it would pair beautifully with a Sweet Cream Cold Brew, over top of an Iced Mocha, or paired with an Iced Caramel Macchiato.
There are plenty of different fun variations to experiment with, but don’t wait too long to find your favorite Apple Crisp drink, because the flavor will likely only be available for a limited time. The Starbucks holiday menu usually returns around the first week of November, at which point your local store will start to phase out its fall offerings.
