How to get Borderlands 4 elevator clearance

How to get Borderlands 4 elevator clearance
How do you get elevator clearance in Borderlands 4? In this first-person shooter, you take the role of one of the newly introduced Vault Hunters as they form a rebellion against the villainous Timekeeper. However, you first need to recruit people to your cause, and a pesky elevator proves to be an unexpected obstacle.
We never expected an elevator to be our first real Borderlands 4 challenge, but here we are. Getting through the rest of the Borderlands 4 missions list should be a breeze, especially if you take advantage of our Borderlands 4 Shift codes guide to redeem free in-game rewards like Golden Keys.
How to start the Recruitment Drive quest in Borderlands 4
After the tutorial's tumultuous escape, you end up washing up on the coast of Kairos, where Claptrap gives you a rough awakening. As the headquarters of the Crimson Rebellion has no other rebels in sight, you must get new recruits to aid you in your journey. Claptrap has the idea of going to the Abandoned Post nearby and taking over its broadcast channel.
You must fight through a small group of rippers, which shouldn't be a problem, but with the elevator's keypad broken, you'll need to go up to the top floor of the post. To do this, you'll need a Glide Pack, which can only be obtained by looting a specific chest located in a nearby ripper camp.
After the game shows you how to use ECHO-4 to pinpoint mission objectives, you must make your way through several groups of rippers until you reach the Riptide Grotto, where the boss Splashzone will be waiting for you.
Calling this one of the Borderlands 4 bosses would be a bit of an overstatement, as it's not a remarkable fight at all; just run around the circular arena while shooting at him, and once he dies, he'll drop the key to his chest. Loot it to obtain the Glide Pack, and you'll be prompted by Claptrap to test it as you go back to the Abandoned Post.
Once you arrive at the top of the Abandoned Post, you will find a closed door that only Claptrap can open. This is where you need clearance for the currently inoperative elevator, prompting Claptrap to encourage you to take a closer look at your surroundings. If you turn around, you will locate the bodies lying nearby; one of these has the solution. Get close enough to any of the human corpses and interact with it to rip their Bolt out of their heads.
This will allow you to finally call the elevator, and Claptrap will open the door to the Abandoned Post safehouse, which you can now claim as yours. After a short cutscene, Claptrap will broadcast a message to the whole planet; once somebody answers the call, the Recruitment Drive quest will end and a new one will begin.
And that's how you get elevator clearance in Borderlands 4. Before you go, however, you should take a break to expand your Borderlands 4 inventory space or respec your skills if you're having trouble taking down enemies.
