Save $50 on this sleek Asus wireless gaming keyboard in early an Prime Day deal

Amazon is laying out some early Prime Day savings, one of which is this wireless gaming keyboard deal. You can grab the Asus ROG Strix Scope II, a 96% tri-mode mechanical keyboard with either NX Snow or NX Storm switches for just $159.99 right now, if you're quick.

This Asus board has everything it needs to challenge some of the premium picks on our best gaming keyboard guide, but it's usually a little pricey at its $209.99 MSRP. Luckily, this deal saves you 24% against the full price, saving you a good $50 on the ROG Strix Scope II.

The Asus ROG Strix Scope II is advertised as a full-size gaming keyboard, although it is also listed as 96%, which is a little confusing. This percentage refers to the physical size of the board, with the "full-size" description denoting that no inputs are missing compared to a traditional keyboard.

The Scope II is also built for durability, with an aluminum top plate, PBT doubleshot keycaps, and switch stabilizers ensuring that you'll be gaming on this board for a very long time. In the event that you do want to spice things up, the Scope II's switches are also hot swappable, meaning you can use any Cherry MX keycaps and five or three-pin switches.

As for its connections, you have the choice between wired, Bluetooth, and wireless 2.4GHz. The wireless receiver for the 2.4GHz connection also has a dedicated slot on the top of the board, so you won't have to worry about misplacing it. Asus claims the Scope II has a battery life of 90 hours with RGB enabled, and a massive 1,500 hours without.

You can choose between the NX Snow and NX Storm switches for this deal, with both versions of the board being on offer. The NX Snow switches are linear and great for gaming as they're designed to respond to force quickly. The NX Storm switches are clicky, and while they're still fine for gaming, they have a higher total actuation force and are louder due to the tactile click that sits at the point of actuation.

Currently, you can purchase the Asus ROG Strix Scope II for $159.99, representing a $50 saving against the MSRP. However, this is a limited-time offer, and Amazon is listing it as a "popular deal." You can purchase your board using this link.
