It's bizarre how much of a comeback the Resident Evil series has had in the last nine years. After 2012's Resident Evil 6 alienated most of the fanbase, the excellently scary RE7 and Village not only brought back old fans, but also welcomed newcomers into the nightmare, bringing back the classic elements for a modern generation. It also brought us to a fresh blend of screams, terror, and the right amount of action in Resident Evil Requiem, one of the best horror games I've been (un)fortunate enough to play, and to celebrate.
