New Soulframe update will finally add TennoCon content, including Bromius fable

Since its 2013 launch, Warframe has gone on to become one of the best multiplayer games around, thanks to its blend of immediately satisfying action and a very unique setting, with a distinct visual style and backstory. Creator Digital Extremes is still working hard to support Warframe, but the studio has also been plugging away on a new project, a fantasy MMORPG called Soulframe. While it's not out yet, updates have been regularly arriving through its pre-alpha Preludes playtest, with the most recent of these set to come soon and include material first shown at this year's TennoCon.

As shown off in Soulframe's Devstream 9, the The Waste Bear fable debuted during the recent TennoCon will soon be arriving for playtesters to explore. The 11th Preludes update will see you heading into the Neath'uns territory to help save the ursine Omen Beast Bromius from corruption.

There are new enemies to fight along the way as well as armor transmog, upgrade options, and color customization made available through Rat Witch Verminia's magic powers. After finishing The Waste Bear fable, you can also sign up for a Pact with new abilities and create equipment, like a honey pot shield and bear claw-style cleaver, inspired by Bromius' character. A press release also notes that "each of the starting Factions … will now come with one of three exclusive starter armor sets," too. Lastly, a pair of new songs will appear in The Waste Bear fable, called "Song of Waste" and "Song of Growth."
