How to respec in Borderlands 4

How to respec in Borderlands 4
How do you respec in Borderlands 4? In Borderlands 4, you earn skill points as you level up your vault hunter, allowing you to invest in your favorite skills to make them stronger. However, sometimes you just want to experiment with different builds, and perhaps you're not satisfied with the one you currently have.
Fortunately, there's a way to reset all of your skills in Borderlands 4, but it does come at a cost. This will make getting through the co-op game much easier, giving you everything you need to secure Borderlands 4 legendary weapons to become even stronger.
Borderlands 4 respec skill points
To respec your Borderlands 4 skill points, you need to find one of the dedicated respec machines found all over Kairos' open world. On the map, the respec machine icon looks like a triangle with a person inside of it.
Resetting your skill points lets you regain all the points you've already spent, allowing you to redistribute them again. This does come with a fee attached, with the total cost usually being a percentage of your total cash on hand. As long as you're happy to part with your in-game cash, the process of resetting your skills can be done as many times as you wish.
While standing in front of the machine, hold the 'Use' button, and it'll automatically respec your skill points and immediately bring up your character's skill tree.
Be warned that you must redistribute your skill points during this time. If you leave the screen before allocating your points, your skill tree will remain blank, and you won't receive a refund. Once the machine closes, you'll need to pay again to regain access to it.
Borderlands 4 respec specialization points
You can also reset your specialization skills, but instead of using cash, you have to use Eridium at the respec machine. Specializations are a bit different as they let you tailor your vault hunter into distinct roles: Survivor, Brute, Sharpshooter, and Runner.
As you invest more points into different specializations, you can earn more passive skills to equip. Like cash, it takes a percentage of your Eridium deposits to respec your specialization tree. However, Eridium is much, much harder to come by, so be careful when deciding what points to invest in your specialization tree to avoid wasting any Eridium.
And that's how you respec skills and specializations in Borderlands 4. Take advantage of the respec option and switch your build out for something better, like our best Borderlands 4 Vex build and best Borderlands 4 Amon build, for example.
