Where are the best Hollow Knight Silksong rosary farm locations? When it comes to the early game, Silksong really doesn't make your life easy. All the essential items you need to make significant progress are held by merchants, forcing you to track down Silksong rosaries.
These red rosary beads can be found in rosary strings across the Silksong map, and you can earn them by defeating certain enemies. It also doesn't help that you can easily lose your rosaries upon death, making them even more precious in this Metroidvania game. Fortunately, we've found two excellent early-game Hollow Knight Silksong rosary farming spots to earn hundreds of rosaries in less than ten minutes.
Here are the best Hollow Knight Silksong rosary farm locations:
- Bone Bottom
- Deep Docks
Silksong rosary farm Bone Bottom
Before you take on the Bell Beast, one of the many Silksong bosses, you're going to get familiar with the game's first starting zone, Moss Grotto. Refer to the marker on our map image so you can see which bench you need to find as you make your way through The Marrow.
As you make your way through the mossy area, you'll eventually reach the first town in Bone Bottom, complete with a new set of aggressive enemies who drop rosaries.
From the bench, make your way to the left and clear the two enemies to earn yourself ten rosaries. Continue towards the left and drop past the platforms onto the ground. Towards the left, you will find another rosary-carrying bug. Head to the right after clearing this enemy to find two more foes, both of which will increase your rosary total to 25.
Once you're done, just run back to the bench and repeat the cycle. This is a great way to earn some easy money, and it couldn't come at a better time, as there are some NPCs at Bone Marrow who will happily take those rosaries in exchange for powerful upgrades.
Silksong rosary farm Deep Docks
Shortly after you find the Forge Daughter merchant, who sells several key items that cost over 100 rosaries each, you're very close to the best Silksong rosary farming location in the early game. We highly recommend picking up the Magnetic Brooch crest to save yourself the hassle of running to collect these beads.
The closest bench in the area is by the elevators, so we'll use this as our starting point. Head down the elevator to the left of the resting spot, then turn left again until you reach a vertical room filled with enemies. Ignore the platforms with lava-spewing bugs and instead jump towards the left side of the screen until you reach a platform. You will find your first target, a floating helmet-wearing insect who drops rosaries.
Next up is the insect wearing a red helmet. Luckily, this one tends to have its back facing you, so this should be an easy kill, netting you seven more rosaries. Keep working your way down until you find the final floating bug near a door; kill that one and go inside the room on the left.
Once you're inside, make your way to the left until you see the first enemy. This is a good time to use your Silkspear if you have it saved up as it can penetrate the first foe, hitting the second one located directly behind it. Attacking the first enemy and moving too far into the room will aggro the second one, so for the easiest time, you can focus on them individually. With those two out of the way, there's a final enemy located towards the left wall; kill it, and you should have 45 rosaries after all that fighting.
The key thing now is to open up the pause menu and go to the 'Quit To Menu' option. Just as we point out in our Silksave save guide, reloading your game this way will take you right back to your last save point with all your rosaries and materials intact. Doing this will save you plenty of time heading back up the platforms, shaving at least a minute from this farming loop.
That's all you need to farm as many rosaries as you can carry in Hollow Knight Silksong. While you're here, don't forget to read our Hokers Flexible Spines quest guide as you progress through the single-player game now that you're all powered up.
