How do you heal in Silksong? A lot of what you do in Silksong requires fighting. Exploring new areas will often present you with a swathe of new and increasingly deadly enemies, who all seem to want to tear your head from its rightful place. Taking hits is normal, and as long as you know how to get that health back, you're in a good spot.
Players are delving deeper and deeper into Silksong since its release, and most are finding that things get decidedly more difficult the further you get into the Silksong map, as is to be expected. Dying in the Metroidvania game is a pain, as you'll lose those rosaries you worked so hard to get with our rosary farm guide. Here's how to heal in Silksong so you never have to go through the pain of starting over.
There are two main ways of healing in Silksong: by resting at a bench, and by consuming your silk. The first is relatively self-explanatory; sitting down at a rest spot will restore your health to its maximum, allowing you to press on to undoubtedly lose it again to the next set of enemies you encounter.
Consuming your silk to heal is a bit more nuanced. Underneath your health bar (the icons in the top left corner of the screen) is a silk bar. Hitting enemies grants you one segment of this bar, and when it is full, you can press B (or Circle), which will consume said silk and restore some of your health.
You're stuck in place while this animation plays out, so make sure that you aren't in immediate danger when using it. Escape your current fight, or find a spot where you won't be hit for a few seconds - you can use this ability in mid-air, which is useful for enemies that are forced to stay glued to the ground.
Now that you know how to heal in Silksong, you should have no problem with whatever comes your way, even those pesky Silksong bosses. We would love to hear your thoughts on this year's most anticipated game over on our community Discord server - is it living up to the hype?
