Where should you plant the C3 in Metal Gear Solid Delta? When you finally rendezvous with Eva in the cave behind the waterfall, not only do you have your equipment back, but she also hands you some C3. With the plastic explosives in hand, you have everything you need to blow up the Shagohod once and for all.
There shouldn't be any issues planting the C3 in the stealth game, but we had some trouble when switching between the two Metal Gear Solid Delta play styles on offer, specifically the New Style which seemed to be finicky. The mission brief from Eva also isn't very helpful, so you can avoid a headache by seeing exactly where you need to plant the C3 explosives.
There are four locations you need to plant the C3 to explode the fuel tanks in the weapons lab. If you're playing on the New Style, you might have some difficulty planting the C3 as the hit detection seems off. While the game does highlight that you can place the C3 on the fuel tanks, the only place we could get it to work is by placing the C3 directly where the cables spout out of the tank's orange grill.
When you first enter the Groznyj Grad Weapons Lab: Main Wing, make your way down the stairs and use your Mk22 tranquilizer pistol or the Mosin Nagant sniper rifle you may have acquired during The End boss fight to put any nearby enemies to sleep. Head up the slope on the right side of the map and plant the first C3 on the closest fuel tank.
The second fuel tank can be found directly ahead; just stick to the right side of the wall and hang down the side of the railing. Once you're on the ground, walk up to the fuel tank and plant the second C3. At this point, Eva should give you a quick call to let you know she has planted her explosives on the bridge.
With that out of the way, stun the guards standing near the vehicles and walk over to the left side of the level, then plant a C3 on the fuel tank located in the top left corner of the map. Be careful to avoid the scientists and soldiers up the stairs; try to take them out before they get a chance to spot you at the fuel tank.
It's important to watch out for any gunfire during this process; if a stray bullet catches one of the fuel tanks, the entire place will blow up. The final fuel tank is located up the stairs on the left side. Simply place your C3 explosive to trigger a cutscene, leading to a showdown against Colonel Volgin. There is a timer during this fight, forcing you to act fast if you want to avoid getting blown up.
And that's everything you need to plant the C3 in Metal Gear Solid Delta.
