New Elder Scrolls Online update introduces sad Argonians and a giant mouth organ

If your bedtime reading consists mostly of lusty Argonian maids, this tale may not be for you. Instead of romance, Elder Scrolls Online is telling a tragedy, as the Feast of Shadows update tells the story of the poor denizens of Solstice, whose lives are impacted by the actions of the Worm Cult. We join Seekxilts, a lizard fella whose home was destroyed by the villainous cultists, as he treks to find a hidden entrance to Naj-Caldeesh, a mythical Xanmeer that many do not believe exists. Along the way, you'll battle necromancers and avoid traps as you unravel the mystery of the citadel's legendary power.

As well as enemies and traps, there is of course treasure to be found within Naj-Caldeesh. Xanmeer light armor rewards mages who mix Flame, Frost, and Shock damage, and there are some tricky achievements to collect as well. Elder Scrolls Online developer Zenimax says that the Key to the Stone achievement is "a tough one to get," but rewards the Deathbringer title, which sounds incredibly badass.

In addition to these treasures, you can find an ancient musical instrument in the depths of the Xanmeer. You may not have heard of the vossa-saxtl before, but you might be familiar with its smaller descendent, the vossa-satl. Yes, I said smaller. The vossa-saxtl will need four players to produce a sound, and who know what will happen when you and your friends blow in tandem? Nobody can say for sure, but I trust one of the best MMORPG games to produce something worthwhile.

In addition to all this in the Naj-Caldeesh dungeon, update 47, known as Feast of Shadows, also adds Black Gem Foundry. You can find this dungeon in Molag Bal's Oblivion realm of Coldharbour, so you should set your expectations accordingly.

Fight through summoned atronachs and deadly soul magic to help the summoner Dalenor right his past wrongs. This magical combination should lead to monstrous bosses and interesting fights throughout, with the promise of four armor sets, a unique monster mask, and a Fire Rune skill style for your troubles.
