There's no shortage of life sims for fans of the genre to check out. Classics like Stardew Valley, The Sims 4, and Coral Island offer plenty to do, even for players who have spent hundreds of hours with them already. The more recent Palia has also garnered plenty of attention for its blend of fantasy aesthetics and Stardew -style farming and crafting. Now, it's expanding even further, with today's launch of the new Botanical Bliss update.
Botanical Bliss looks to celebrate summer by adding in a host of flower-themed features to Palia. The fantastical life game's latest update is centered around the introduction of more floral decorations, including ten types of flowers and plants alongside nine planters that can be used to breathe some new life into players' homes. It also includes eight new nameplates with special floral designs.
These nameplates can be earned through two of the Botanical Bliss update's other new features. The first of these is the Flower Bloom Event, which takes place every day at noon on the in-game clock, and is available to play either alone or in co-op. In it, players head to areas of the map where weeds and sprouts have appeared, and can tend to the new growth by watering and collecting the flowers that spring up. There's also a new bulletin board system that highlights the limited-time events and activities players will want to check out before they're gone.
Lastly, Botanical Bliss brings in a range of fish-themed plushes, a number of additions to the Premium Store, and a variety of general game improvements.
