I don't hate the hardcore FPS game, Escape from Tarkov, but I hate how difficult it is to get into it. It's brutal and unwavering in its military-sim approach and can be challenging for even the most determined fans of the genre. However, if you've been intrigued by its frightening premise and would like something a little more approachable, Exfil combines EFT with Ghost Recon and manages to find a suitable balance. This latest bundle includes a decent selection of the best FPS games, each offering different flavours of adventure. Exfil is a great choice for those looking to enjoy a tactical and realistic extraction shooter, without any of the flourishes of modern games like limited-time drops or loot grinding. This co-op game pushes you to the brink with infantry combat, as you and your comrades work to accumulate intel and safely rescue your allies.

It's currently in early access and being developed by a small team, but it's still receiving regular updates and has plenty of content planned for the future. A new map was added in a recent update with plenty of great places for firefights, and whereas you used to just respawn after being killed, you now drop back in from a helicopter. It's a nice bit of worldbuilding.

Exfil alone justifies the price of the bundle, considering its usual retail price is $29.99 / £24.99, but you've got a bunch of other great shooters in here too. For example, there's High on Life, which takes you through a range of sci-fi environments that somehow manage to feel gritty and wacky at the same time. Along the way, you're paired with a chatty bunch of aliens guns that are as rude as they are powerful - and how could I forget Knifey? That rascal is ridiculously aggressive.

Another personal favorite of mine is also available in this collection - Superhot: Mind Control Delete. This genre-bending take on a shooter sees time move only when you move, which may make it sound like a walk in the park, but this indie game delicately balances stylish action with a puzzle-style take on dealing with enemies, making it a standout I wholly recommend whenever I get the chance. Like I am now.
