The base Titan Quest 2 system requirements are incredibly high compared to other ARPGs, putting Diablo 4, Last Epoch, and Path of Exile 2 all to shame. Sadly, this means you're going to need a somewhat powerful rig to even get this game running, never mind getting it to run with a high frame rate at high resolutions.
Just looking at what you'll need to run Titan Quest 2 as recommended by the developer, you're going to need one of, if not the best gaming PC from our buying guides. The game's incredibly high specs will likely prove prohibitive to your average gaming rig, especially those that are in need of an upgrade, and could well hamper the game's efforts to rank among the best games like Diablo, and the best ARPGs.
Here are the Titan Quest 2 system requirements for PC:
Minimum | Recommended | |
OS | Windows 10 64-bit | Windows 10 64-bit |
GPU | Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 AMD RX 6700 XT |
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT |
VRAM | 8GB | 12GB |
CPU | Intel Core i5-8600K AMD Ryzen 5 2600X |
Intel Core i5-12400 AMD Ryzen 5 5600X |
RAM | 16GB | 32GB |
Storage | 50GB SSD | 50GB SSD |
The Titan Quest 2 minimum requirements alone are fairly high for entry-level specs, at least for an APRG, calling for an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT GPU, an Intel Core i5-8600K or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X CPU, and 16GB of RAM. For modern gaming rigs, these requirements may not be all that challenging, but the developer has not indicated what kind of performance you can expect from the minimum specs. As such, you should aim for the recommended specs to guarantee the best performance, and that's where older rigs may well struggle.
The Olympus you'll have to surmount to meet the Titan Quest 2 recommended specs includes an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, RTX 4070, or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT GPU, an Intel Core i5-12400 or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X CPU, and a whopping 32GB of RAM. The RAM alone will, according to the most recent Steam Hardware Survey results, exclude more than half of all Steam players from meeting the recommended specs without an upgrade, but the graphics cards listed are slightly confusing.
For some reason, developer Grimlore Games has listed an RTX 4070 among the best cards, even though it outpaces both the RX 6800 XT and RTX 3070 Ti in online benchmarks by a fair margin. This leads me to wonder if the RTX 4070 is actually for an as-yet-unknown "Ultra" requirement despite the fact that the game is already out in early access.
Whatever the case, the Titan Quest 2 download size is 50GB of SSD space, which is by far the least challenging aspect of the game's demands. Traditional hard disk drives won't meet the game's requirements, so make sure you check our buying guide for the best gaming SSD if you need an upgrade or additional space.
Bear in mind that Titan Quest 2 is still in early access, which means that optimizations and new content could influence the game's overall demands. Fortunately, we already have the Titan Quest 2 roadmap laid out for us, so check it out now if you're curious to see what the developer is working on.
