Who should you trade for in Madden 26 franchise mode? Great players make winning games easier, but you'll never be able to pry Patrick Mahomes, Justin Jefferson, or Micah Parsons away from their teams.
However, some less well-known players are easy to get in Madden 26 and can make a big impact on your team. As long as you are prepared to part with some of your backup players and mid-round picks, you can make big improvements to your team in the sports game and make the most out of your Madden 26 playbooks.
Best players to trade for in Franchise mode
Below, you'll find seven players who would be great for any squad to sign in Franchise mode. Then, we'll explain why each one is a good pick.
- Anthony Richardson
- TreVeyon Henderson
- Jameson Williams
- Roger Rosengarten
- Oluwafemi Oladejo
- Troy Andersen
- DJ Turner
Anthony Richardson
If you want to snatch up a talented quarterback for a low price, you can raid the Indianapolis Colts for Anthony Richardson. At 72 OVR he doesn't sound like that much of an upgrade, but he's got 91 speed and 92 acceleration to be an absolute menace when scrambling, and he's got a rocket for an arm.
His 96 throw power and accuracy stats (83, 77, 78) are good. His OVR is held down by his 61 awareness. This is no problem if you are playing the games rather than simming.
You can get Richardson for a mid-to-high 70s player in a position of need for the Colts, a 2026 3rd rounder, and a future mid-rounder. That's not a lot for a quarterback that will deliver right off the bat and provide plenty of explosive plays.
TreVeyon Henderson
If you're looking for a home run threat at running back, then Patriots rookie TreVeyon Henderson is a fantastic option. He has great speed, acceleration, and agility (91, 90, 86), and his 94 carrying means fumbles are rare.
Because he's the third-best running back on the Patriots roster, you can trade for Henderson at the cost of a 2026 2nd rounder and a mid-to-high 70s player at a position of need. That's a reasonable cost for someone who can score from anywhere on the field.
Troy Andersen
Every year, Troy Andersen of the Atlanta Falcons is a fantastic trade target, and this year is no different. The 71 OVR WILL is absurdly fast with 91 speed and 93 acceleration. He's also 6-foot-4 and has 86 jumping, which makes him an amazing user defender who can lock down the middle of the field by himself.
You can snap him up for a 70 OVR player and a 2026 5th rounder, which is a steal for a player that your skills can turn into an All-Pro.
Jameson Williams
There are very few players faster than Jameson Williams in Madden 26, which should mean he's totally unavailable for trade. However, you can get your hands on him at a very reasonable price.
Williams has 98 speed, 96 acceleration, and 95 agility. This comes with 84 catching, 77 catching in traffic, and 80 spectacular catch. Those WR stats aren't brilliant, but they are good enough to make his speed shine.
You can get this 6-foot-2, 82 OVR receiver for a 2026 2nd rounder and some future mid-rounders, and then go burn down every defense that you come up against.
Roger Rosengarten
Offensive linemen are hard to gauge and even harder to find. One young right tackle you can get is Roger Rosengarten at the Baltimore Ravens.
This 23-year-old is 74 OVR, but plays well above that level thanks to 82 strength and 81 pass block finesse, which is especially useful if you are simming.
You can get him for just a 3rd round pick, which is a steal for his performance level.
Oluwafemi Oladejo
Over on the defensive side, there's another 2nd-round rookie who is very getable at the start of franchise mode. Oluwafemi Oladejo is a 74 OVR LEDG at Tennessee with 85 speed, 87 acceleration, and good pass rush attributes for a rookie.
You can get him for a 72-75 player in a position of need, a 2026 3rd round pick, and a future mid-rounder.
DJ Turner
Cover corners are exceptionally hard to find, and even harder to trade for. But you can get DJ Turner for a very reasonable price.
The 79 OVR Bengals corner is absolutely rapid, with 96 speed and 97 acceleration. His coverage skills, 77 zone and 76 man, are well-balanced, and his Star development trait will see his attributes grow quickly over time.
You can get for a middling player, a 2026 3rd rounder, and some other future picks, which is a bargain for a quality player at a premium position.
