Bandai Namco returns not with another Elden Ring DLC, but with the Everybody's Golf Hot Shots system requirements, which are considerably easier to meet than its Souls-like series. Yet, for a deceptively simple game, Bandai's golf experience could reasonably challenge older laptops and PCs, and that's before a tornado hits the golf course.
Everybody's Golf Hot Shots is, very simply, a single-player and multiplayer golfing game, and it certainly doesn't require the best gaming PC from our buying guide to get it running. The game itself, however, is a bit more than a simple round of golf, adding explosions, mystery boxes, falling monoliths, and some over-the-top particle effects, all of which could put the game onto our best sports games list in due course.
Here are the Everybody's Golf Hot Shots system requirements:
Minimum (1080p, 60fps, "Low") | Recommended (1080p, 60fps, "High") | |
OS | Windows 10 64-bit | Windows 10 64-bit |
GPU | Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 |
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 Intel Arc A580 |
CPU | Intel Core i7 4770K AMD Ryzen 5 1600X |
Intel Core i5 10500 AMD Ryzen 7 1700 |
RAM | 8GB | 8GB |
Storage | 40GB | 40GB |
Certainly, compared to most modern AAA titles, the Everybody's Golf Hot Shots minimum requirements are incredibly low, requiring only 8GB of RAM, an ancient if once powerful Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 or AMD Radeon RX Vega 56, and an Intel Core i7 4770K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X CPU. For gaming laptops or PCs that are less than a decade old, you should have no issue getting this game running.
Even the Everybody's Golf Hot Shots recommended specs are of little concern to your average gaming rig, requiring an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super or AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 GPU paired with an Intel Core i5 10500 or AMD Ryzen 7 1700 CPU, and 8GB of RAM. This is, according to the developer, enough to get the game running on the "High" settings at 60fps and 1080p. The developer does, however, warn that frame rate drops should be expected during "graphics-intensive scenes", which, for a golf game, makes you wonder just how spectacular those scenes must be.
The Everybody's Golf Hot Shots download size is 40GB of storage space, which seems like quite a lot for a golfing game, given that another sports game like the Football Manager 24 system requirements only need 7GB. Regardless, you'll want to check our buying guides for the best gaming SSD if you're in need of some extra space or if you need to upgrade from a traditional hard disk drive.
